You traitor. :nono:

:1orglaugh

I'm no traitor. :D

In a previous post I said I appreciate reading your posts and presence on the board but I chose not to mention that I very very rarely ever agree with the views in your head. :hairpull: :elaugh:

I thought I made it clear it's your sexy body I want. :lovecoupl I can feel the love. :yesyes: :yesyes: :yesyes:

What world are you living in?
Bizarro World?
The reason people were pissed at that was not because of the media.
It was because they are a country group and #1 Bush is a Texan and 2# Southern folk normally don't take none too kindly to bad mouthin the USofA.
Plus they said it very soon after the initial invasion of Iraq........

You can't see that people, especially famous people just can't criticize Obamer in public without suffering some negative retaliation?
This Hank Jr incident proves it..........still can't see it?

Man we're as close to a Totalitarian government as we've ever been and this is proof.
Even the citizens cant criticize the man without first being called a racist, then a hater among other things.
And all this coming from a party and class of people who preach Toleration so much it makes me want to puke my balls out through my mouth.
But if you don't agree with them they get angry and mean.
And people like me who see this are not fear mongering because its 100% true.

You can criticize Obama you just don't have to throw in names like Hitler, socialist, Muslim, etc. You can say Obama's policies are shit and whatnot, no problem at all with that.

It is about free speech. Last I checked we still have it. It is one man's opinion and he has a right to his opinion. I don't like half the stuff I hear idiots saying, but big deal. I just ignore them and move on.

Not picking on your post in particular Jane but for the umpteenth time in this thread....

This issue is NOT about freedom of speech as it applies to the first amendment. Employers have the discretion to hire, retain and fire employees for violations of company policies over such issues. As has been pointed out here ad nauseum and to no apparent avail for some of us, the tenets of the first amendment apply only to the government, not the private sector.

As 'Mega said earlier, companies can institute a myriad of requirements for their employees that would not be be applicable to the first amendment as it pertains to their choice to either hire, retain or fire said employees. Irrespective of claims made by certain unnamed posters in this thread to the contrary, it is an extremely common practice for employers to require that employees agree to certain specific conditions in order to retain their jobs.

I don't know what else can be said to those of you who still fail to understand this extremely simplistic concept. :dunno:

Hank was basically saying that the whole system whether its left or right is corrupt and useless which is pretty much the truth at this stage of this political reality show

Jane, honey...he's still free to say whatever he wants. The police did not kick down his door and drag him off to jail. He's still totally 100% free.

That's what freedom of speech is about. And Hank still has it.

The bottom line is, Hank probably doesn't give a shit. It's not like he needs that MNF check in order to survive.

Exactly.
He could have said Ismail Haniyah (the Prime Minister of Hamas) & Netanyahu (which actually may better represent the two individuals at discussion), or Mao and the Dalai Lama, or Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton, or Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell, or Nancy Reagan and a crack cocaine dealer. The point is about the stark contrasts in belief and style of the individuals. It was a simple (if poorly chosen) metaphor, not a likening to.

And yet he almost almost immediately followed his analogy by shouting (literally) that "OBAMAAAAAA" is "the enemy". So it seemed clear he wasn't making some broad, esoteric point about wide discrepancies in philosophy, but rather a comparison of good to evil, with Obama in the evil/Hitler role.

That impression was solidified by this subsequent exchange:

Fox's Gretchen Carlson later pressed him and said, "You used the name of one of the most hated people in all of the world to describe, I think, the president." Williams replied, "Well that's true. But I'm telling you like it is."

That country boy sure likes to play his 'straight-talking' routine.

I would think that making the comparison between the golf game of Boehner and Obama to an imaginary one between Hitler and Netanyahu is really over the top, yet he makes a good point, and he is possibly right.

He just is not a smart public relations guy, and he lost himsoelf a good job and a good opportunity to perform his art.

On the othe hand, the sheer media hype witht this 'Hitler-Picture' is solid gold, too.

Guess his people will love him a lot more in the end

All in all: Well played, I think :2 cents:

hehe, when even Fox of all people (who have been on an anti-Obama tirade the past 3 years) throw you under the bus, you know you're in trouble. :D

Anybody who doesn't agree with everything he said is a fucking moron.

Sorry, but it's true.

And if you can't speak your feelings, especially when asked, without being punished for it , well this country sucks.

Wow, MP. Well, I certainly don't agree with "everything" he said so....I guess you are calling me a "fucking moron"?

That really hurts my feelings. :crying:

The problem with Hank's argument is he doesn't go far enough. He has consumed the GOP Kool-aid and quit thinking. the problem in this country is Congress has been bought and paid for. Congress is the enemy. The sooner the masses figure that out, the better off this country will be.

The moron argument is along party lines. The grown up argument centers on which elected officials are voting with the good of the country in mind, not the big contributors.

It's okay, I didn't agree with everything he said, either.

I guess we'll have to man up, and endure this name calling somehow...

I'm with you guys. :yesyes: :yesyes: :yesyes:  I'm a fucking moron. :1orglaugh

I would only be offended if the person calling me a fucking moron was intelligent. :2 cents:

Moving on swiftly, I'm hoping to spend the weekend with a man who can't be a fucking moron according to you know who. That's right WEW. :D

:nono: Start agreeing with me.

First we will have to spend some quality time together :lovecoupl and if you promise to loosen me up with a long all over body tantric massage and hand job anything is possible. :nannerf1: :yesyes: :yesyes: :yesyes:
