Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I'm guessing that I should not buy Skyrim for PS3 with all the issues people are having?

As far as I know, the only people having problems are the one who were 50+ hours into the game before the patch was released. The people who bought it and started a new character after the patch have had no problems. So I'm told. I want to test this theory, but I'm soooo far in. It's discouraging to start a new guy without completing the first one.

New patch online for xbox/ps3, pc had it a while ago. Might not be up in North America yet.

General stability improvements
Fixed Radiant Story incorrectly filling certain roles
Fixed magic resistances not calculating properly
Fixed issue with placing books on bookshelves inside player purchased homes
Fixed dragon animation issues with saving and loading

Hopefully no more bugs coming from this one

Just get the PC version, haven't had any problems with it so far :D
Would never want to play this type of game on a console, I'd miss out on the whole mod community.

I am clocking in at over 95 hours so far and I've still to get into the main quests big time. I've only done a few of them. Stuck mostly to the misc quest section and just general dicking about in the world. I've got my bow and sneak maxed out now. Working on the lock pick and pick pocket skills.

Question.

I'm trying to get the Daedra artifacts, but I've already missed 1, so basically I can't get the 15 required for the trophy. Does the trophy system require you collect all the artifacts with one character? Or does it recognize that you've gathered all 15 collectively between 2+ characters? I have 13, and I really, really don't want to start again and redo all these quests just for a trophy. But I will.:mad:

You need 15 with one character. However, if you haven't done Ill Met By Moonlight yet you have a chance since you can get 2 in 1 there (it might be a counting glitch) if you do it right, or so I've heard. Otherwise, new character.
Warrior type has been the quickest and easiest for me, thief is fun but takes more time and mage I either suck with or it is the most difficult.

I have never played an Elder scrolls game before(or any rpg for that matter), so i'm not really familiar with the concept.

Which race should i choose to go with. Bearing in mind i have no idea what any of them are.

I've been looking around and most people seem to say High elf, Nord or Orc.
I basically just want the best character.

There isn't really a best character. I chose Khajit right away, and am going through as an Argonian right now. It depends on how you want to play the game.

Here you can get a comparison and see what you want in a character. Basically, you want to figure out how you want to play the game, (sneak, assassin type/heavy armour, big sword type/magic, alchemy type/etc) and choose a race which gives you a head start in the direction you want to go. I wanted to sneak, so I chose Khajit because it starts off with a +10 skill bonus. Know what I'm sayin, bro? As you level up, you'll be given the option to upgrade the skills you want to specialize in.

Normally when I play these types of games, I choose a race and play for a few hours before realizing how I actually want to play the game...and then I restart. You could always try that route.

Anyone else finish No Stone Unturned? That must be the longest quest in the game.
I think I won't have to ever worry about money ever again, though...

I did that one. Why won't you worry about money ever again though? I remember it costing me a shitload.

I know of one guy that got 16000 gold worth of gems from one dungeon with the bonus effect added. (add: more here, 62K... just got 34K myself at lvl 39.). Ordinary containers and urns now stuffed with them.
Just wish you could actually wear that crown :pimpdaddy

...and it would have cost me a bit but I used the fletcher's key to get inside Proudspire Manor instead of buying it.

I recently decided to restart with a new character. Althought I had created an awesome argonian, I got hold of The Black Star very early in the game and found myself chugging my enchantment stat using the souls of freshly killed peasants. Many. Many. Peasants. And also some NPC's who turned out to be quite important. I have ridiculously high bounties, and I cannot now complete the Companions, or the Theieves Guild.

So I have created a khajit who will get The Black Star, but only soul trap evildoers. Its unnerving though. You go from having all the perks, and double enchanted dragon armour to suddenly having trouble dealing with a sabre cat.

I've got like 110k without doing this quest... Getting Money in Skyrim is so much easier than in Oblivion. Also I have so much stuff stored in my house, I'm sure all together it's worth more than 200000k. xD
