How about the president actually does something that he said he would. He stated numerous times that he would increase the fight on AQ in Afghanistan. I am sorry but the actual cost is $961,055 where did the extra 38,000 come from? These troops, for the most part 18-20 year old kids, are out there giving thier life for this country and all you can do is bitch about how much it fucking cost? Unfuckingbelieveable!

Yeah its not the troops fault that they are there or how much it costs. And the cost of each life, to themselves , their families and loved ones far exceeds trillions of dollars, that cant be bought back if one is killed. Meaning, you cant put a monetary value on someones life, have some respect.

If it makes you feel any better, the 3000 or so Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan have cost approx $18 billion by the time we finish next year. Works out to around $1500 per household. With the exception of the households that gave a son/daughter/spouse.

He sent nearly 20K when he first set foot in office and just order over 30K more to Afghanistan. He's gotten NATO to send more troops (something his predecessor failed at miserably even though he and Condi spent the last years of his presidency globtrotting begging for more help) and enlisted unprecedented support in the effort from Pakistan. You don't call that increasing the fight there?

So can we at least get the facts straight and when we do can we wait for results to materialize?
