What else Scottish football need is a pyramid system like they have in England there is so much dead wood in the lower leagues its unbelievable , some of the highland league teams can get a couple of thousand for certain games , same as in the junior league but they dont get a chance because its locked you have to be voted in and thats only if another team goes bust , team like cowdenbeath and that reguarly fail to get 150 and bring nothing to the table !!!!
Maurice Edu DOES get a game for Rangers (American i may add)& he is a GOOD player, better than Barry Ferguson any day!

every cup counts, if their not interested they should'nt be playing thats why it DOES matter to the players, they play the game they love & should try & win everything their involved in, if they don't try they should'nt be getting payed the wages they do (which is too much may i add coz no players worth 80 million, Christiano Ronaldo for example, ridiculous money especially when the worlds went to hell with the credit crunch)

Next year you'll be getting a MLS team, but since they are based out of Philly, I don't know how much you can really support them.

DeMarcus Beasley looked like he was going to be a difference-maker for Rangers...last year? He got injured, never got back in their lineup (I think) and didn't play well enough to feature for the US at the Confed Cup.
Oguchi Onyewu is a big, stud defender for the US who just signed with AC Milan. If he can get into their lineup (which shouldn't be a problem since they have shite for defense) let's see if he can help give an identity to US Soccer.
The Americans that are on English clubs atleast start for their clubs. I thought Clint Dempsey would've moved on from Fulham to a bigger club (like Sp*rs or Portsmouth, or Blackburn)....he is the best American player right now.
I happen to be a Benny Feilhalber fan who used to play for smelly ol' Derby:thefinger but played well enough to get back to a Premiership club. He should go to Everton or Aston Villa. He can play a creative game like Villa play and would fit in nicely there, imo...

Clint is in the decline of his National team run, players Edu, Altidore are taking over. I think if you asked American fans who the best us player is you would here a lot of Landon Donavan.
Decline? Huh? I think you mean Landon actually. He has been completely overrated and in decline for years. He did have a great Confed Cup, as a setup player to Dempsey and others....but there's a reason Landycakes isn't playing in Europe, you know. Altidore is too young to be the best American player. He's hardly played enough. He's still raw. Based only on performance for the National team thus far (within 12 months), I could make an argument that Michael Bradley has had more impact than Altidore.
Dempsey is the best American player right now. He's only 26--he's in his prime right now.

The SPL is a little bit like the EPL's ugly ******, but when Sunday comes around and a game is on I don't mind watching an SPL game. And of course I love me Hibs.

No he doesnt once in a blue moon he gets a game , but I think he will make a breakthrough and become a regular this season Beasley started of well at Rangers but in the end up he struggled to get a game as well , nearly everyone of my mates and ****** support Rangers , and there always saying they havent seen enough of him to make up there minds and most of them are season ticket holders !!!!
He played 12 games last season and most of them came when they had an injury crisis or in the cups or he would have played about 4 , so just now Edu is just a squad player at a really bad club, but as I said I would expect to see more of him this year , so for good player replace the good with promising prospect!!

I think from the very 1st post of this thread,nailed the subject on the head.
The quicker we put together an 18-20 team league,the better Scottish game
will get.
The only exciting times for me about the Scottish season,is at the
end of the season when the splits start and teams are actually battling
for something and then you get the european stuff.To which if we (Gers)
get past crimbo will be worth celebrating alone :1orglaugh
But in it's own crazy situation - I love it :hatsoff:
