Hello dear friends I am here to discuss about new move made by the Moderators as per new setting our post count do not increase if we do posting in Gaming Section.
(Sorry if you found my English lil difficult to grab :D )
As a member of this board I feel this board as my own board and I demand to Moderators to reset setting to default ones so that post rating increase with post in Gaming Section too.
It is great fun to play games with friends... we all love to see increasing our post ratings... to here in this board is not only to identify Girls, discuss about porn, Discussing problems or Blah-Blah :)
There should be fun too... I don't know either I able to convey my demand properly or not but I initiate so that other members who think alike may possibly put forth my words in right manner...
What do you think my Dear Friends....

Thanking you
Alex. Zeal

I vote no, 'cause if the mods allow increasing posts there then new members will use it to gain lots and lots of posts.

If you say so. :)

I vote no, it then will only be used for mindless post count. I lost thousands of posts when they dropped it long ago. I also saw the point, didn't care and still spend a lot of time in games while working. (mindless posting remember?)

I also try to bring more to the board than word association and try to contribute something to earn my points. Points that I will never use I may add. lol

Anywho, nope I'm with the mods on this one. *ducks and runs from thread*

Add on:

Yeah because posting "^^ is on teh intrawebs" takes just as much thought as writing an opinion.

I vote no!

While I'm here I don't think rep should be counted either. I just saw that thread. Many only rep their buddies (rep the person above you thread) and rep for game answers even. How is that contributing? :dunno:

This is not a new move.
It was done two or three years ago.
Besides it´s not important how many posts you have,it´s the quality of the post that count.
I vote no.

Dear I am unable to understand why you feel so much scared.... what is wrong if a new user get enough post count... remember if a new user able to increase post in gaming section then he is also capable to do so in other threads too.
Dear friends try to change your mind set up... If you think a person enter in this board just for post count then you are wrong... dear friends all members have same precedence...
Don't make post count status symbol it is just denotes the activity of a member if A person spend lots of time in this board to make posts then he/she deserve Little Respect in the form of Post Count.

Thats all I wanted to say....

Thanx

Dear L3ggy don't take my views in wrong way... I am just trying to point out the feeling everybody griped into "The loss of status of having maximum number of Posts."

Scared doesn't means shaking with fear... :D

There are other factors involved in why the post count isn't counted. It wasn't done to punish anyone, but to help us maintain some sort of control since people can earn My Freeones points for board actions (if they have an account). So simply put, it's not going to change anytime soon.

Why do you care so much about post counts anyways. Oh, I voted no by the way. Looks like you don't have much company in your argument alex. Anyways, I know on some boards people won't respect you unless you have a certain number of posts, but not here. All you have to do to get respect around here, is be respectful to others, use a little common sense, and use intelligence and thought when posting.

I voted no like the other members said all it would do is for people to get higher post count. I think forums are for meeting people and having fun and sharing with others. and maybe helping others as well.

Let me add that I would support disabling post count for the Funny Pictures, too.

{... and I just increased my count by 1 :banana:}

Post counts are post counts.

They tell you if people are more active or not, rather than if they have anything to say or an opinion that matters.

I could post 700 posts all of photos of Maggy Thatcher but that wouldn't mean anything (an make most people sick). No-one would look at them but I'd have a bigger count, but contributed nothing to the forum.

They can be useful i.e. seeing how active a mod is, or how much of a newbie someone is, but if you want a childish "who can piss highest" contest, I'm sure they are other more immature web forms to post a million one word replies in.
