That's the crazy thing in that the reputation doesn't match the actual truth in that most gods aren't loving and no more than extentions of the opinions of control freaks. Ofcourse the devil is suppose to take the wrap of causing this evil when all he was was an example of what happens when you rebel against the "all knowing". As someone said earlier, it's the grownups santa that seems loving but puts a fucking lump of coal if you don't conform to his fucked up rules.
I said yes because I was always told to have faith. And I do want to have faith. I want to believe. But sometimes I wonder why. Where is the proof? Everything about religion could easily have been made up over thousands of years. You know how stories and rumors go. From person to person it gets embellished, misinterpreted, and so forth. There is no solid evidence proving there is a God or that Jesus Christ existed. It's all based on faith. And when faced with the possibility of either going to heaven or hell, if people did not see a consequence for doing bad things, the world would be total chaos. There are so many things about religion that I don't understand.
I consider myself more of an agnostic so yes, but I believe God is more of an energy, which would explain it being able to last forever because energy can be neither created or destroyed. Isn't it the Hindus or Buddhists that believe God is more of an energy or something? We all have the ability of free will and I don't know if I believe if God is even aware of creating disasters or death. It's just another form of energy that is all around. So if you do something good for another person, feel good that you chose to do it and don't thank anyone else, and vice versa if someone does something good for you.
I find it funny that in the bible, God has killed over 2.8 million people while Satan killed 10 and some say that was while he was under rule of God and if that's true then Satan hasn't killed anyone of his own will

Can't really prove God exists but also can't prove God doesn't exist.
I have faith.
Man I could talk about the Yes/No points all day but what does that do.
I certainly wouldn't want to change another person's beliefs nor have mine disqualified.
all I know is when I go to church, I come out of there feeling...regrouped I guess.
It starts my Sunday off with good vibes and feeling of ''goodness'' that I didn't really have when I didn't go to church. I am not some born again dude, heck no.
I chose to believe, that's all.

That's not god, that's life and energy doesn't have a personality including jealousy, rage and even love. Very good point about God's murderous rampage and Satan's forced murderous rampage but for some reason people WANT to have faith in a god like that. Faith in What!? Murder and Rage!? I personaly have faith in nature and biology cause I know is happens.
I believe in a higher power, not necessarily "God" as he has been presented to us. The fact that I don't believe in God really upsets my girlfriend, who is very religious. I wouldn't be surprised if she left me because of this eventually.

I believe in God, I just don't think we collectively as a human race have an accurate understanding of who God(s) is / are. The universe is an immaculate creation which I find difficult to believe resulted due to chance. But that's just me.
