The Bible is NOT a religious book, there are many man made religions out there that use the Bible, such as the Roman Catholics, Presbyterians, Methodists, etc.. but just because the Bible is affiliated with these religions doesn't make it religious. The Bible is God's lawbook to the human race, laws in which every human, (whether we would like to believe it or not) is under.
Everybody has God's laws written on their hearts to some degree, every human intuitively knows there is a God. We can call him Christ or Buddha, or Krishna, or whatever, we know there is a higher being with whom they have to answer to. It's so because mankind was made in the image and likeness of God and therefore there is a dynamic relationship that exists between man and God that will not go away. Even though we are spiritually dead, we still know that we are in trouble with God so we identify ourselves with some religion. It can be a religion that has something to do with the Bible or a religion that has nothing to do with the Bible. The problem is No religion has any solution as to how we're going to get back to God, even those who use the Bible have a wrong solution, they think we can do this or do that and then we can get right with God, they apply their own ideas as to how we can get right with God.
We are either condemned by this book or saved by it. Religion is nothing more than an attempt by mankind to reconcile with God. And finally there is No true or dominant religion. We just have to pray that God finally opens our spiritual eyes and ears to the truth.
