well, in the same way, I could make up any crazy notion in the world and claim it is real, come on, I think the human race is a little smarter than that.
The entire idea behind religion is that it cant be proved wrong or right, ever, but you have to think where these beliefs come from and what people knew and understood when they were made. I'm ashamed that as a advanced and civillized culture that managed to put a man on the moon we still believe these silly ideas of some force watching us from above. I know it's easy to do it and in hard times its easily to blame some know-it-all superior being for all your problems and yell to the sky why God hates you but when you look at it objectively it's just not rational.

Personally I don't believe in God. I don't know if God or any other gods exist or created the universe and all. I'm leaning towards that there might be something, particularly because I don't really believe that dying is the end, but I'm fine with not really knowing. I don't believe that any human can truly know either, they can just believe. Which is fine, as long as they don't try to impose their beliefs onto others, or in any other way use their religion against others.
To me it pretty much comes down to that it can't be proven whether or not God exists. Since it can't be proven that God exists, I just don't believe. I don't need to believe either. I know that religion is very important to many people, but I've never had any real need of any form of religion.
The way I view faith, it's a matter between a person and his/her god. I don't really like religion, as it too me is too much about getting people to follow some kinds of guidelines, instead of letting them figure out how best to be true to their beliefs.

im trying to figure out why someone would ask this sort of question. nothing good comes from these topics. eventually it will get heated(if it hasnt already). but, no i dont believe in god.
A lively discussion might come out of it. Personally, I love discussing these subjects.

I am raised under the Christian Orthodox religion, but i am glad that my parents always told me before believing in anything,(not only religion), read about it so that you know what you believe in. And so i did, and by reading the whole Bible and the Gospels, but also some books that say things about Christianism that you don't read in the books af the church, i find it impossible to believe in any God, call him as you like......(Allah , Budha, e.t.c)

Jesus preached only to Judhea. How come Jews who listened to his preachings don't believe in him but every one else does?
