I, for one do not believe in any religious philosophy. They make no sense, follow no logic. Furthermore, I do not believe in the existance of any gods. I don't believe in ghosts, bigfoot, or the boogyman, for that matter. Here, here dohcvtec! :glugglug:

I do believe that it plays a critical role in human society, however. Homo sapien, I don't believe, is...how should I say...'mature' enough as a species to survive harmoniously without certain rules and regulations. Which is what all religions are - guides to living 'right.' Granted some of the most horrific acts people have commited against each other have been in the name of one religion or another, but imagine what it would be like if nobody believed that there were any 'eternal consequences' to their actions! I shudder to think! I know the difference between right and wrong and I fully understand that it is in my best interests, i.e. my survival and the survival of my offspring, not to upset the delicate balance of human relationships.

I could ramble on about this for hours...short answer: NO

However, some people, perhaps you famous, are not capable of understanding the difference between argument and discussion. I don't appreciate you (a "moderator") making a remark like that. It's inappropriate and simply false.
It's no surprise this thread has gone smoother then most of the other political threads. There's plenty of tolerance and appreciation of other people on this board. Perhaps a Moderator should be more concerned with promoting this, not the opposite (it tends to keep present members and promote more to join, just a friendly fyi).
