Diddy's parental skills questioned after $400,000 gift to son.

Retarded gift for a kid that young, or anyone really. Either way, who cares? He has the money and the kid doesn't have to work for a damn thing in his life anyway. Might as well get used to it.

All the money in the world doesn't make up for a lack of a father or father figure around the house. Trust me, I grew up without one(Well, my great uncle was around for a while and he was just plain awesome) and the effects are felt throughout your life.

Legzman

what the fuck you lookin at?
ugly fuckin car

I don't know if I have a problem with what Diddy (gayest name EVER???) did. I really don't know if I do. He never had a pot to piss in as a kid, so maybe he wants his kids to experience a different life? I don't know. I suppose I don't really have the authority to speak on this though as a 20-something year old who doesn't have kids of my own yet.

Money won't cure your lack of physical presence and parental influence. You can't just throw money at everything and expect it to turn out right. He should have paid for a better haircut for that kid.

Okay, that's a good point. If in fact he is like many other black fathers in America and has little or no pressence in his 6(?) kids' lives, absolutely. No doubt about. My dad did so much for me now that I am in my 20s I see that now. He was always there for me and always drove me late at night to traveling games and bought me a coke afterward. I owe him my life.

If Sean Combs (fuck I hate that Diddy shit) is an absentee father, he's a scumbag, period.

Yeah, this is true as well. A lot of times when parents don't have shit as kids and grow up to be pretty well off they will compensate for their own miserable childhood by making sure that their kids have everything that they didn't have. In truth, many parents would probably do the same in the same situation. I know because when I went off to college the number of 18 to 20 year old girls who were driving cars that cost more than their professors made in a year was quite alarming.

I hope he crashes it the first day.

and menace, i know you know that just not having much money doesn't make life miserable.

my parents did ok, both worked and we lived in a big house on the ocean.
but when i was a 15, 16, 17 i washed dishes all summer to buy a car in september.
shitty work, but i was far from miserable,
party all night, girls, music, good times.
best days of my life.

diddys kid will never have that.

I don't give a damn if you're lookin' up at broke, you can still find a way to be there for your fuckin' kids. Quit making babies and throwing money at them and calling yourself a father. Makes me wonder what kinda dad Diddy would have been if he wasn't rich...

I guess money can't really completely change you.

I busted my ass all summer when I turned 15 so I could by a shitter just to tool around in and not have people on my back. Nobody did that but me. That was my car. :D

I'm just surprised to see him taking care of his children, period.

Oh c'mon. That's funny because it's racist...

It's outrageous of course to get him something like that for his first car, but it's Diddy's choice. No one cared when he was poor in the Harlem projects for the most part, so why should he care now that people do care (or so they say because he's famous)? It's kind of the double standard if he can't have it both ways.

The one with the shades, no the beard, no the one with the short black hair, no the one with the huge forhead, no the whos serious, no umm, the one with the EARRINGS got it! Were looking at the one with the earrings.

In all honesty I think this is a whole lot about nothing. Although the car is an extremely expensive present and probably isn't setting the best example, it is his choice on what to buy HIS son.

Secondly all you have to do is go to the local high school and see the types of cars that the kids are driving. You'll see quite a few top of the line brand spanking new expensive (although not Diddy expensive) cars that you know their parents paid for.

The only reason this is an issue is because of who it is and how much the car cost.
