Dangerous Hybrid Storm Coming to East Coast USA Next Week?

I just got power and Internet back about 1 hour ago.
No big damage to my house. Some shingles off the shed. Have neighbors with trees through their houses. Most of Long Island is still blacked out. I'm pretty lucky.

The thing that I thought about all day was - this was a category 1 hurricane, right?

You are one lucky SOB. Long Island Power does not have the best record when responding to outages. Glad you got away lightly.

Hi folks. Did you miss me?

Lost power Monday night and it just came back on. All I lost was heat and power. My OTB is still dark. 1 hour after the lights went out I dropped my flashlight and broke the fucking bulb. I found candles and battery Xmas lights at Target so I rode it out okay.

They still won't let people come back to the shore. That place got crushed. Even though the Governor told everyone to get out of Atlantic City, the Mayor told them they could stay. He had a shelter that was just 2 blocks from the water and it got flooded out. The Fat Man in Trenton is not happy about that. Just before the lights went out I saw a local reporter from Cape May. She was huddled in a closet in fear for her life. She said that the ocean was washing over with no way to get out. Scum in Coney Island looting. They caught about a dozen of them.

It must be terrifying to be caught up in something like that.

I was thinking about my friends in America, as I watched the events on the television.

Hopefully things will get back to normal quickly.

Pretty sure the worst of it is over here, and it wasn't that bad at all. Some strong winds and a bit of rain. The only real inconvenience was that it was near impossible to light a cigarette.

Things by me are gettin back SLOWLY. These PSEG. clowns have yet to put back my power after 5 days and gas stations have 3 mile long lines with people fighting. Gov. Christie is cussing out everyone and doing what he has to. Ill live but when I saw Casino Pier in Seaside in the water, I cried...and my summer spot in Sea Bright along with the rest of the shore, is just gone.

On the radio they said, Iran (!) wants to help the people on the East coast!!!

I just imagine Alex and Ahmadinedschad hand in hand on the beach....

Glad to see you back Brother Alex. Woodbridge OTB is now open. The 805 bus drops you off at the door. Get there early for a spot since the old farts have nothing to do and take up all of the seats. Don't forget to order Mc'Loones chicken fingers. They are to die for.
