What do you listen to then? Auto-tuned rap of the 21st century?
Post a link to anyone suggesting Will and I are the same poster...before today.
So wait, everyone's mad about my classic rock genealization, but has no problem complaining about "modern" music..as if every modern rock band is Nickelback. Okay.

Also, i kind of enjoy some older country.

"Classic" rock doesn't blow, the people / companies that made radio a corporate idea, and put a phony label on a type of music to make it big business by playing the same fucking 15-song playlist over and over no matter where in the country they may be to make even more money blow.
Homogenization sucks, and blows.
Mm. No matter the station, no matter the genre it's devoted to, no matter the breadth of material in that genre, it seems like they all specialize in running songs into the ground.
It's no better or worse than anything now.
I notice most young people are ignorant to anything before their time and most older people are ignorant to anything modern. If you think all classic rock sucks, I feel sorry for you. The same goes for those of you who think all modern music is overproduced, cookie cutter garbage.
Do not judge any generation of music by what you hear on the radio.
But people say it sucks based on stupid assumptions. Bieber is pushed down our throats and that's someones idea of new music. They don't listen because it's "new". It's not about opinion as much as it's about ignorance. And this goes both ways. I'm not defending new music, I just want people to have an open mind.
I'm not saying go out and buy grindcore cds, but if you love that classic rock sound, there is lots of bands that can do that now without sounding like a cover band. But people miss out on them because they're shrugged off as some shit new Bieber bullshit. Their loss I guess.
Generally I find new music by getting it recommended to me by friends, or people I like or respect. Maybe that's part of why my music collection might make some think I suffer from MPD. :dunno: Really, it's the only exposure I get to new music (including old music that's new to me) since I haven't turned on a radio in something resembling forever, and I can't be bothered signing up to any sort of music service that recommends stuff. So almost by default I'll give damn near anything a chance.
That's probably the best way to find anything. New or old. Food. Movies. Through people you trust.
The Who - Baba O'Riley
One of the best songs ever in any genre.
i dont even like the term.
the problem with radio is that the stations play the same songs over and over.
i dont listen to it.
