China wants peak at US stealth copter

Dont they realize we just planted that cheap piece of crap there so idiots like China would copy it and make cheap knockoffs from it to sell to Russia?

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
That's no excuse for sloppy spelling and grammar ... one must maintain one's standards, must one not?
:shy:
Yes. You are correct. Sorry. Thou shall not post when thou has imbibed. LOL
Shall I just dissapear?
Fucking Chinese!! First steal out technology and do under hand deals with the Russians to make a Stealth Fighter now this!? Another Cold War is brewing and i'm afraid this one will end very differently!!
I'd like to see a source for what you're saying. Otherways I respectfully suggest that it's a patent falsehood.
They've already gotten a look by now.
Sadly, quite probably
we should just blow it the fuck up properly. with a smart bomb. sure they can trace it to us, but then again wed just be protecting our intellectual and top secret property.
:yesyes:
While their knockoffs may appear convincing none of their material has ever been put through rigorous actual battlefield testing.

My father bought a watch from a "reputable" vendor when he was in China in '45. On the outside it looked fantastic, until you opened the watch up. The interior parts were stuck together with chewing gum.
The Chinese can copy the shit out of something but lack the understanding of "why", "where", and "how".
T-man has a good point.
The chinese military has failed even against India. Their latest tank destroyer is a laughing stoc.
As for their QBZ... good luck scavenging ammo for that thing.

Keep telling yourself that.
Thanks Obama for handing over this military hardware to the Chinese, I'll like to see how he wriggles out of this one

Pakistan to let Chinese plunder secret U.S. stealth helicopter downed in Bin Laden raid

You're sounding like a birther; blame O-man for suffering a minor loss when he finally gets O-man. Anyways...

The bad news
china may well gain access to this technology before the yanks can clear up their mess (a mistake like this is forgivable; shit happens in war).

china already has a stealth bomber and is apparently going to get PAK FA from the Russkis (I'm assuming the Russkis will be smart enough to give the chinese a shitty monkey model).

The chinese ran a probe into the pentagon a bit back. they downloaded terrabytes of data on F35 (no wonder they've been growing more fearlessly aggressive), so due to the nature of "stealth" choppers, anything they learn is likely redundant.

:tinhat:

The good news
This is only a part of the helicopter. Without the full design specs, we're not going to see the chinese filling the skies with stealth choppers in 5 years. All the got was a piece of the tail. Even if they had the specs, this is unlikely to be viable as a stealth chopper because it's likely based on a pre-existing design (EG UH60) and therefore, due to things like airframe being carried over (original wouldn't have been designed for stealth) it won't actually be that stealthy.

This tech likely came from the aborted RAH 66 Commanche program. It's good to see the american military machine being a little less wastefull than usual.

It's probably impossible to produce a stealth chopper, because large blades like those on top of a helicopter are anathema to low radar cross section.

Stealth helicopters are of limited benefit as helicopters typically fly down low in the ground clutter and are therefar naturally very hard to spot.
Take a look at this american source showing how even a big Iron thing like a MiG25 which can't terrain mask (especially not in the Iraqi desert!) manages to dodge look down/shoot down radar by flying much higher than helos can safely do when they wanna (aout 5:38).

Bottom line? if china copies this they'll waste billions for nothing.

was that an actual agreement with me? cause thats mind blowing

or was it sarcastic in some way, but you just got lazy to type a response?

Invade someone's country and then complain when the wreckages get reused. Cant have it both ways.

Pakistan can do with that chopper as it wills.

Reverse engineering a pile of wreckage is pretty tough stuff. It's hard when you have a object in good condition.

Yes it was agreement. I will agree with you when you're correct.
china must be stopped. That simple.

Where the mistake is, that this technology can be reproduced. Reverse engineering or not they will use this to an advantage. Those seals had access to some C4 or some kind of incendiary device they should have got rid of it all together.

If they do fine without US funding...why the hell are we giving them billions every year. Fuck that, they get nothing now. Maybe some of the homeless in the US can use that money.

I dont decide funding, I am just saying that the US sanctioned Pakistan in the 1960's, 1970s, after 1998 and they are still growing. It is a much more resilient state then people give it credit for.

That won't help our relations with them...

err wait what relations?

Lol yeah you are right in spotting that Pakistan has switched sides over this whole thing. Relationships were already strained with the US thanks to the UAV strikes and now this seems to have pushed them over the limit.

Just now I'm hearing that alongside China, they are cutting deals with the Russians for military and diplomatic relations and "the combatting of heroin trafficking" according to Russia Today. It's kind of obvious they either stopped seeing benefit with being on the US/West's side or are just trying to intimidate/threaten the US/West into restarting their relationship.

However, cutting whatever aid Pakistan gets will most likely result in a complete collapse of the country and it falling into the Extremist's hands, essentially creating another safe haven for them. A collapsed state will probably also be rescued or helped out by the likes of the Chinese, Russians or Iranians and thus increasing their power and influence.
Either case is disasterous to the US/West, so I think best thing is to keep giving them aid, as even in the worst case scenario of them coming under the influence of Russia/China, they will still owe us something, and thus we still have a stake and say in their country.

Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

Btw, whose the hot-ass chick in your avatar and signiture mate? :D

Sorry, but I am doing a doctorate focusing on this region and you are way off. 1, Pakistan isnt going to collapse today or tomorrow. This present turbulence is just that.

2/ China is already 10* more influential there then the US ever will be. As is Saudi Arabia.

Now whilst US-Pak ties are good for both states, you shouldnt lose sight of the broader dynamics.
