Max Prison Sentence: 4 Years w/ monetary fine and probation...

Personally I'm  at the verdicts; I would have thought she would have at least gotten the Following counts 2 & 3 at a minimum.

Yea, I wasn't that surprised at Not Guilty for 1st degree, but it seemed likely they'd compromise and nail her for manslaughter.

Ah, well, that's the system. Got to accept the unexpected along with the expected.

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
I for some reason didn't believe she did it all along, there was just to much circumstantial evidence, and not enough proof beyond a reasonable doubt to say that Casey definitely without any doubt whatsoever killed Caylee!!

I think all the shit with the mother and father possibly being involved either with Caylee's death directly or a cover up in there daughters defense made this case basically impossible to actually prove without the shadow of doubt, what really happened, I am extremely mournful for Caylee, but there's no way to prove it was a murder / foul play or just a terrible accident that was exaggerated into this huge monstrosity of a case. :2 cents: If Casey did kill / murder Caylee she will pay when judgement time comes, but if she truly didn't do it, justice has been served. RIP Caylee.

I think it's a case where they're not going to give a white woman a guilty verdict on circumstantial evidence, especially in a death penalty state, but I'd be surprised in anyone doesn't believe she was responsible.

I bet she gets the max during sentencing.

I think her life outside of prison will be more difficult to deal with than it would have been inside prison had she been convicted or murder. To those thinking justice wasn't served...this woman will not be able to even leave her home without being thrown with harassment and hatred...the public isn't going to let her get away with this, and she won't be able to maintain any sort of life worth living. In jail she would have been able to hide from all of the hatred but outside? Her and her family are going to have a very rough go at it.

And for what its worth, I think the jury did an outstanding job. Not an easy trial to be a part of, but they did the best that they could with the evidence that they were presented with...thats all you can expect or hope for in justice system. Personal opinions shouldn't matter, its all about remaining unbiased and making the best choice with what you're given, which they did. I hope the jury doesn't wind up being harassed as well, that would be horribly unfair. :/

I feared that there was far too much circumstantial evidence in order to convict her. Anyone who has ever served on a jury in a murder trial (I had the privilege of serving in that capacity once) knows that the judge's instructions for the jury to determine guilt are extremely explicit and that only the facts as they are presented can be considered as hard evidence to prove guilt beyond the preponderance of any reasonable doubt. Obviously, the defense was able to create enough reasonable doubt to get an acquittal. Personally, I still think she did it.

I agree with everything said in that post. Something's not right with the father and the mother. I still say there was sexual abuse from the Casey's father on Casey herself and Caylee, but no one's talking and we may never know the whole truth. As for her sentence, I fully expect Casey to be sentenced to time served and she should be a free woman again this week.

And for those of you who think she did it, remember this phrase: Innocent Until Proven Guilty.

Wow Well I guess she's not guilty. This cases evidence wasn't all that great but lying to the cops changing your stories doesn't help you at all. I wasn't sure if she had but I think she knows who did and just wont say.
