Casey Anthony - NOT GUILTY

To be perfectly honest....the competency of your average jury pool not withstanding....I believe the major problem comes when people mistake "beyond a REASONABLE doubt" for "beyond ANY doubt". The two things are completely different.....but I believe too often people confuse the two......and the possibility of the death penalty hovering over them.....only causes the confusion to come into play all the easier. In this case, the fact that the defendant was a woman didn't hurt in the slightest either (given that she faced the death penalty that is....historically, juries don't like to sentence women to death).

I'll say:

I did not see the facts and the documented proof. I was not in the courtroom.

So I for one won't judge her

And of course, not ANY possible doubt. If you WANT to find some extreme theoretic way a situation could have happened differently, you will always find a way.

I find Jon S guilty of being pedantic.

Let's execute him.

I have a rope, a sturdy beam and something called a 'Black Hammer Ass Marauder'. (I found it in a playground. What was I doing in a playground? It's a long story involving a detachable penis and some NoDoz'. Leave me alone. I don't have to answer these questions .....)

Who's with me? :D

I think everyone has watched wayyyyy too much CSI and expect the only way someone to be guilty is if David Caruso puts on his sunglasses and says something mildly witty while looking over a crime scene and the 5 gallons of DNA thats been discovered!!

But from what i've read the jury seemed to be a bit on the slow side so I guess the prosecution dropped the ball assuming they would think a little bit about the evidence that was presented.

Okay. :flame: I can think of other descriptive words.

Casey Anthony released from jail under armed guard in the dead of night just minutes after deadline for her freedom passed

* Shouts of 'killer' from gathered crowds holding placards with the words 'murderer' and 'devil'

* Escorted by armed guard to black SUV with her lawyer and driven to downtown Orlando

* Spotted at a private airport half an hour after her release

Just to clarify something here. :)

After just one month, the body wouldn't have been fully decomposed, in other words there would still have been measureable DNA after only 30 days. Remember, the body wasn't actually recovered for 6 months! During that time, the hot weather, rain (including a hurricane) took care of any forensic evidence. The girl's flesh, most of her clothing, much of the plastic bags that she was wrapped in were all gone, but yet somehow the duct tape was still on her naked skull even AFTER all the flesh that the tape was sticking to had melted away. Doesn' that make anybody stop and wonder?

My THEORY is that someone abducted the girl, killed her, and when it became clear the investigation was focused soley on Casey (because of her incredibly stupid choice to go out for drinks at a club and not immediately call police), the suspect quickly moved the body from whereever it had been hidden back to within a 1/2 mile of the Anthonys' home (an area which had already been searched by rescuers who at that time found NOTHING) and put the duct tape on the rotting face -- thus letting Casey take the fall. It's not a perfect theory, but it beats the hell out of the B.S. that both the defense and the state presented, IMO :dunno:

What do y'all think?

You can still get DNA after 6 months in the open. Her Mandible was held in place by the duct tape. No, it doesn't make me wonder. Duct tape is very durable.

No one abducted her. Casey Anthony's own lawyer said in her trial she was there when her daughter died and knew she was dead the whole time police were looking for her. That was never in dispute. They only disputed that she was murdered. So Casey Anthony is not innocent. If she didn't murder her daughter, she didn't have a reason to hide the body. I don't believe her daughter died by drowning. Why duct tape someone that drowned? Makes no sense at all.

Her is a link to the autopsy report http://www.autopsyfiles.org/reports/Other/anthony, caylee_report.pdf

I was going to say that you could definitely get DNA from bone marrow after that time, and before I did, I went and looked at the autopsy report, and that's exactly where they got it....from a tibia.

But yeah, based upon the facts and circumstances of the case, Casey's own behavior, etc., there should be little, or no doubt really, to any reasonable person that is, that Casey in fact was responsible for Caylees death. If Caylee had died innocently in an unfortunate accident.....why go through such extreme means to cover it up, and thusly make it look like she had died so nefariously? I mean common sense would tell you that there was a reasonable chance that the body would be found.....so why make it look like she was murdered if she wasn't? Just sayin'! Casey might have been found "not guilty" by 12 simple minded people.....but I doubt many will EVER view her as being "innocent"....I'm fairly confident that you and I (and millions of others really) never will.....unlike the jurors.....fortunately we've got common sense! And for the rest....remember, beyond a "reasonable doubt" DOES NOT mean beyond "ALL doubt".

^^^^I wanted to add this, but I was too late.

Anyway, now Casey's father is saying he believes Caylee died accidentally from a drug overdose given by Casey or someone associated with her....and that's making the news now. However, based on the toxicology report from Caylee's autopsy......no illicit or over the counter drugs were detected in Caylee's system (by examining bone marrow, hair, etc.). So that seems to shoot a big hole in George's theory.....if the media would have done their homework, they could have ignored that theory right off. :2 cents:

I read that. I think it is hard for parents to accept their child is a killer.

Dude, I know you think I'm beyond awesome! However, that doesn't change one bit the descriptive words I reserve for you.....like I said before, you are what you are, and you do what you do...and frankly.....well I don't think I even need to go there.

Yeah I agree, I believe to accept that their daughter is a killer would seemingly lead to a self indictment of themselves (like "where did we go wrong?")...so rather than accept the reality of what happened, and how it reflects upon themselves, they are choosing to take to trying to remain in denial &/or make excuses for what really went down.
