I guess I could probably see it coming. The material Foxes was putting out on her was getting less and less. The slowdown in the industry probably didn't help matters. I'm sure with less money coming in the incentive to keep on going wasn't as great. In the end she became one of their best models and put out some of their best stuff. I always thought it a little sad how years ago they would try to push other new people into the spotlight even more than her and they not only did they leave shortly afterwards but they weren't as good either.
Candice is also one of the most underrated models I can recall. She might go somewhere on my personal list at the top of all time most underrated. She should have been much bigger than she was. I think part of that is probably her own decision and part of it is that Foxes has always been very horrible about promoting their people (Maybe Candice ended up too loyal to them.), and some of their models only became greatly known because they were too good to ignore. She definitely got better as time went on. I sometimes wonder how great she would have been if she started her career like she was at the end of it. Her later videos and pictures blew everybody else away from hotness in a person that performed solo, and she actually seemed to enjoy everything.
One thing is for certain Foxes is done for all practical purposes, at least in the way they have existed up to this point. They might release other people's pictures, but that's about it. As for being a front runner for finding some of the best talent and having some of the best people working for them I think that's probably over. At one time from about six or seven years ago to about two or three years ago they were one of the very best if not the best, put out some of the best photos, and had the very best collection of models in the business working exclusively for them of which Candice was the last one left. (Some people are still around the industry like Yurizan, Priya, and Jenny but they needed to go elsewhere to do it, and they usually ended up being more well known in doing so.) It's almost unbelievable the people they had assembled. About their only flaw back then, besides the aforementioned lack of ability to promote their stars, was the very slow rate at which they got video going on their sites and the lack of fan interaction. What happened to them is a good lesson for everybody else in the business from producers to talent. In a few short years even the people at the top can fall very far.
If what is reported is true I'm at least glad they admitted when their people have retired. Some websites out there try to keep it a secret to milk money out of people afterwards. They are still very guilty of trying to pull the stunt where they re-release old photos sets and videos as new though.
