Canada vs. The U.S.

Photobucket like a few other hosting sites banned Freeone's access because people either didn't care about or read their terms of service which did not allow porn or nudity and posted it anyway.

Oh.

Oh. I guess that explains why they keep deleting my pictures. :1orglaugh

I knew once the assholes that run MySpace took it over it was going to go downhill.

Oh god, are you kidding me? Yeah, damn right we do. We spend 52% of the world's military money. And you know what? It's the biggest crime there is. We have homeless, and poor, and ghettoes with run down schools and crumbling roads and guns and drugs and a huge poverty gap and racial inequality and soaring expensive healthcare... and it's a farce.

The military spending here in America is one of the BEST reasons to leave this gun-crazy violence hotbed and never come back. FUCK the F-117. Seriously.

Look, I like military vehicles like I like cars. I just think they're cool. It doesn't mean I'm pro-war. I don't think the point of this thread is this subject, but there are positives in having a strong military. Spending less money on the military wouldn't help our roads, prevent guns, prevent drugs, fix economic gaps, or racial inequality. It could help with healthcare though (but only by partially socializing our system or giving the health industry subsidies). By the way, schools are paid for by local property taxes. That's the reason there are run down schools (poorer areas = less tax money). The way to fix that is to change "where" the money comes from so that it could be higher.

Sorry, I didn't realize photobucket was blocked here. I use firefox and changed a setting on it that allows me to view photobucket material even when a site tries to block it. There is a way, but I don't think Freeones would like me to go into that. I'll just try to remember not to post anything from photobucket.

No one here knows how to read, we only look at pictures. :)

That makes perfect sense for a forum dedicated largely to porn. lol

To be honest, there really isn't a ton of difference from what I can tell, though I have never lived State side.

It is colder obviously, and generally cleaner, due to the fact that there are far less people.

Caitlin--sorry to be harsh but you are seriously misguided to be contemplating a move from Florida to Canada. As much as I admire Canada, and I do, I would never leave a tax friendly paradise like Florida. In 10 years, Florida is going to replace California as the Nation's best state. California is on life support. People move out more than they move in. Florida is where the future of America is.

Would you even qualify for "free healthcare" if you're not Canadian?

Fox--you're wrong about "America being the place to make change." We're following the Great Britain downward spiral. We have no leadership, no great ideas, no culture, no "care" for our fellow American. We only have blame assignment and a belief that "things must be cheap." We're currently Europe's Bargain Center. Is that the kind of country you really think has in it to be respected by the world? We've fucked everything up since 2001. We only have ourselves to blame--nice. I don't think Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama can really change America for the better. The only one who could is Dennis Kucinich but he has about as much chance to be elected President as you do!

Caitlin--stay in that gorgeous fucking state of Florida...with the best beaches, the best city, Miami, the most beautiful sunsets...blah blah blah. Just work on your tan get yourself a convertible.

I did want to comment that I completely believe Fox when he said America and Porn are now mainstream. I can't tell you the number of mothers I know (50 yr old women) would be very happy if their daughters were strippers or porn stars. These women believe beauty is the most important currency in America and nothing says "I am beautiful" than being a stripper or a porn star.

America has better sports than Canada:
US- Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Softball, and a whole bunch of others I don't have time to list.
CN- Hockey, Canadian Football (cheap ripoff of US sport), Soccer, Lumberjacking (lol), Two teams in US Sport leagues (Jays and Raptors).

Vanilla Bear

Bears For Life
The only Good Things about Canada are their wonderful landscapes.
(The forests, lakes, mountains, etc.)

The USA have definately a few bad things but the good things outweigh <-- I hope its the right word.
I cant list all the good and bad things but the USA definately win.
Canada is no legitimate contender.

And I wouldn't dream too much about that "free" healthcare in Canada, either. I haven't heard too many Canadians giving glowing reviews of it.

Well as for someone who lives north of Canada and goes there often, I can honestly tell you its a nice place to visit but you wouldn't want to live there. My Canadian neighbors will back me up on this one point, the health care you get is mediocre at best and oh yeah, all dental is out of pocket so you don't see allot of Canadians with nice teeth if any at all by the time they are 50. You do have the casinos but no free drinks. And the liquor laws there are allot different so do some homework on that. If you are disposed to living more in the wilderness kind of life then Canada is your place. More open space than you'll know what to do with. See Ice Truckers season 1 on the History channel.

If your in the tropics now, why not go somewhere close? I wish I never left Boca and would have gone to the Caymans or the Bahamas. Being cold sucks once your used to being warm all the time.

Is somewhere outhere.
I've been to the US and Florida many times (including Fort Lauderdale) But no matter how beatiful it all is,if I had the choice i'd prefer to live in Canada.

My father wanted to emmigrate to Florida and start a business there, but because of my mothers health problems, the health care bills were enough to put us off. That's a big enough advantage for us to stay in the UK alone :D

But it can be bloody cold in Canada. So it's whether you could stand that.As your used to living in a warmer climate.

We have Spanish people doing contract work in Scotland, but when there contract is up,very few of them come back. Most of them say it's because of the weather :)

I think then you have been listening to a narrow range of sources for info then.I don't think any of the posters here from Canada who regularly post and are familiar with the US system think ours is better and would prefer ours to theirs.

When in doubt, leave... please... and take Fox with you. :D

TOO cold up there! I prefer we bring sanity and reason to the US and with the long term changes coming in leadership in America which will be favoring a progressive agenda, namely the pubs getting wiped out politically by their anti-hispanic non responsive to the concerns of the middle class agenda I think it won't be long. And I think even you then will probably admit that "Hey this does make sense".John McCain the other night in the pub debate posed the notion that the pubs may be really on the wrong side of the immigration issue and MIGHT be alienating the largest minority in the country and dooming themselves to losing elections.MIGHT is a understatement if I ever heard one.

I have an impression from each side:

Canadians seem to spend a lot of time saying that they are not Americans. (Abroad, over here)

Americans seem to never think about Canada - it's like the USA's attic - there's something up there, but you don't really care or have the time to look.

I always liked visiting Montreal and Toronto. They "looked" just like a US city, but had a different feel. (Language aside in Montreal.)

My friends from the US said to me while in the car on Adelaide Str. Tornoto: "Oh yeah, Canadian cities are so much safer than US ones..." - and at that second, a guy comes sliding across the hood of the car running from two cops in hot pursuit. No lie.
