BURN NOTICE Fans? Any spy nerds?

It is a good show. I to watch this wonderful show. As well as most of USA's original shows they air.

Agreed. Whenever I get a chance to focus in on the tube...other than sports...it's USA (could there be a better network name?)...great lineup of shows.

Pisses me off how they've all but tied Burn Notice up from any extra viewing beyond purchasing video sets or something....

I guess it reflects the success of the show....:dunno:

Yup. USA is a great station to watch shows. I like how they split the seasons up to from summer and winter. Instead of having to wait a whole year before the next season.

Yup! I just wonder how Michael will do coming up. Given he shot his chance to get back into the game and now Fiona getting taken out like that. A lot of heat going come down on them all.

Yea but he got the greatest sidekick in the HISTORY of TY Bruce fuckin Campbell.

I do like how they split up their season like that makes for better TV I think. Anopther great USA show is Psych.

Well I think they are going to focus more and Fiona and Michael's "relationship" this season. How hot is she BTW.

"A Dark Road" episode. Pretty good....Tyne Daly's appearance was great.:2 cents:

I enjoy Burn Notice. I do not watch it faithfully but I try and watch as much as I can. I really started watching when I was (yes laugh if you must) bored in Vegas. Bought the first season and will buy the second when I get the money. Hope to get caught up on it soon.

I think the acting is spot on. The action is intense and the characters are very funny. Bruce Campbell is god though.
Anyone hear about the new show by the creator of Burn Notice (Matt Nix) called Code 54? Its gonna have Colin Hanks and Bradley Whitford in it.... I'm gonna check it out.

I think Burn Notice got off to a solid start. The North Carolina redneck character that Westen played was hilarious.

Maybe this next batch of eps will have Michael trying to romance Fi more and decide to stay in Miami. He gave a clue in this ep when he told Maddy that he helps people...that isn't Spy talk. Maybe this part of the season will have Michael rethinking getting back into the CIA and the CIA will work to bring him back in? :dunno:

Tyne Daly a Sharon Gless in those sunglasses was hilarious....

I hope they reprise Daly...it would be great to have her in the show.

I was a little "tough" to watch Maddy lay Daly out....but the episode was great IMO.

^
Yeah, I was hoping for a little more closure than what we got with that. It left a bitter taste in my mouth.

According to the promos I've seen, "Sugar" the drug dealer from the pilot ep is coming back! Hahar :rofl2: Remember him?

One of the greatest secondary characters on television today--Barry! I would like to hang out with Sam and Barry drinkin' Mojitos at Carlito's and oogling the hotties...

It really wasn't a season premiere, just the start of the 2nd half of the season when USA decided to split it this year.

Yeah. Last weeks was kick ass.

Thing is, they seem to be losing out on the whole, finding out about his burn notice. It seems they are focusing on every thing but that and when they bring it up and comes off as... oh, remember, this is what the show is about. In the meantime enjoy watching Michael and the gang solve some nobody's problems in ingenious ways.

I love the show. It just kind of, I am feeling, losing the charm it once had. It's becoming typical USA program quality. It starts out kickass then it stagnates and it will pick up when they lose a good bit of viewers.

Well, from what I see the episodes always get better and better as the season progresses.

I admit though, the first season what by FAR the best....

Yeah. And I am definitely not going to bail on this show I will keep watching. However some things seem to be getting a bit stagnant. It seems the more he is getting closer to who and how he got burned the deeper he gets into some government world of layer after layer after layer. More and more of these deep pocket government officials come in, they seem to be deeper in some entity's pocket, and I mean how far is too far here?

It just seems like it is going on a huge whirlwind of government layers, losing track of what we initially love about the show, and needs to get back on track to what makes this show unique outside of this government layers thing.

Basically all I am getting from this show now is it is a modified MacGyver in a spy world with government conspiracies each season.

Hmm... There is not circumstance that would make sense for him to go back in.... He has to stay "burned" in order for the show to "go on".

But c'mon..MacGyver never kicked ass though....:o

Right the name of the show is Burn Notice. However there are ways they continue it on but yet solve mysteries. In the meantime we are tossed about from government official to government official and Michael is still wondering. Thing is, there will come a time when he will run out of government officials, before he hits a dead end. It is just seeming like he is hitting the "in" and "out" paper work boxes. Where he finally clears one stack of paperwork he is layered on a whole new stack to sort through.

What is next season going to bring? A new government agent that knows about his burn notice? Michael will then have to be more elaborate and cunning to outsmart the agent and frivolous jobs for the local yokels. Sam will be the regular drunkard yet awesome SEAL character; and Fiona the love interest, mysterious Irish spy who we found more about when her brother came in last few episodes.

Thing is this show is become rather repetitive and stagnant. Sure it is neat to watch him solve the local's problems, thing is, for this show to carry on how long he will try and solve his burn notice problem every other four episodes will become old and stale.

He can solve it for good; know who did it, then go after them, that could take up a whole season. Once he is able to catch who actually did it he is torn between doing a job, say, for his mother or go after the real person who burned him; that will add conflict. If he chooses his mother he will have to wait for a resurface and either go about regretful, which will add a conflict between him and his mother; or if he chooses to go after the person it will solve his problem but at the same time add conflict with his mother. His mother is key in all of this for emotional plot lines.

Thing is nowadays it just seems to be going the usual USA route. They will milk it, whore it, and dry it out.
