No, But there are "hazards" of certain jobs there are ways to deal with it either its just getting management to remove the people or like some comedians attacking that person and making him look stupid. I'm not saying it's right, But there are ways to deal with it without punishing the rest of the customers
But ultimately that's the thing; management didn't deal with it. That makes this a failing of the club, and certainly one for the asshole who interrupted the show. Chappelle is the victim here. He's ultimately blameless, yet people are blaming him and telling him to grow a thicker skin. You yourself said...
I don't like hecklers but if you're a comedian and you can't deal with it then you're in the wrong business
Let's go back to the scenario with the waitress, where sexual harassment ultimately is a hazard of the job. Let's say you don't get your drink because some asshole starts grabbing at your waitress every time she walks by. She finally gets fed up, tosses her tray on the ground, and storms out of the restaurant. So do you say, "I don't like sexual assault, but if you're a waitress and you can't deal with it you're in the wrong business"? Probably not. Ain't her fault. She shouldn't be subjected to that shit and management should have backed up her and tossed the guy. You can blame the guy, and even the restaurant, but not the waitress. That shit may happen but dealing with it isn't part of her job. In the scenario with Chappelle it's not his fault that a troublemaker showed up, nor that management didn't bounce that guy. Dave showed up to do what he was paid to do; run his material. He's not the club's bouncer, so dealing with troublemakers is distinctly not part of his job.
