This is again a subject that divides the opinion.
Sensible young people understand that all drugs are gateway to hell, but they too are susceptible to the effects, so they can begin to belive when a pop star or a drug dealer claims that some drug is harmless.
Freddie Mercury had the greatest voice of any rock singer ever and was the greatest front man of any band. I tend to forget that there are some very nice British people on this board SStiffy Miss Hybrid and so on. Vodkaz/Hyena is a fucking asswhistle so I call him limey from time to time but I am not sure how offensive it is. Maybe it is on the level of calling an American a septic or Yank.

Well cotdam! Mariah has finally impressed me and with her knowledge of my favorite band no less. I don't even know the answer to another opera. I just know the album A Night At The Opera. Tie Your Mother Down was off their follow up album to that A Day At The Races.
Speaking for my people, I don't think any of us find it offensive at all. It just sounds silly.
I know, who'd have thought straight guys would appreciate a lot of what Freddie wrote about - love, desire, excitement, passion, regret, frustration, depression, fear, duplicity, mortality... all that gay stuff. Most bands would kill to have knocked up one album as good as A Night At The Opera, A Day At The Races, Jazz, or The Game. In the face of popular opinion, I actually thought Innuendo was pretty good too. Well, I say popular opinion, despite it being panned at the time, it still was voted the 94th greatest album of all time in a 2006 BBC poll.
The best thing about Queen fans - proper Queen fans - is that there are so many different songs that people will cite as their favourite, they won't all immediately chirp on about something seminal from Greatest Hits I. My flatmate used to have a massive hard-on for Princes Of The Universe, my own personal favourite is actually Who Wants To Live Forever. And I get a bit choked up when I hear The Show Must Go On.
