Vodkaz/Hyena is a fucking asswhistle so I call him limey from time to time but I am not sure how offensive it is. Maybe it is on the level of calling an American a septic or Yank.
Speaking for my people, I don't think any of us find it offensive at all. It just sounds silly.
Strange that this little indian homo guy has made such an impression on hetero men.
I know, who'd have thought straight guys would appreciate a lot of what Freddie wrote about - love, desire, excitement, passion, regret, frustration, depression, fear, duplicity, mortality... all that gay stuff. Most bands would kill to have knocked up
one album as good as A Night At The Opera, A Day At The Races, Jazz, or The Game. In the face of popular opinion, I actually thought Innuendo was pretty good too. Well, I say popular opinion, despite it being panned at the time, it still was voted the 94th greatest album of all time in a 2006 BBC poll.
The best thing about Queen fans - proper Queen fans - is that there are so many different songs that people will cite as their favourite, they won't all immediately chirp on about something seminal from Greatest Hits I. My flatmate used to have a massive hard-on for Princes Of The Universe, my own personal favourite is actually Who Wants To Live Forever. And I get a bit choked up when I hear The Show Must Go On.
