you can still find meaningful music these days,
but you have to stop looking for good music in today's mainstream.
some of the bands you folks mentioned make me cringe.
all these charts metal/nu metal/pop-punk band are a complete waste of time.

That's what we call 'an opinion'

How dare you think you know better than anyone else what is good or bad music.

that's not an opinion that's a fact !

why do you think that music sales are decreasing ?
because of file-sharing ? gimme a break...
most of today's major label music just isn't worth a piece of shit.
it's just that simple.

I think No One Knows is the hit that most people think of, hell even my girlfriend likes that song and she HATES all of my music :1orglaugh
Interesting. No One Knows did get a lot of airplay around here, but for some reason Go With the Flow seems to be the one my station continues to play long after it came out. No One Knows is a good song, with a catchy rhythm and I do have it on my playlist, but I always think of Go With the Flow first. No big deal, just different.

What I love about them is the fact that even know Josh Homme is the guy behind all the music, he has never repeated a guitar riff, even from his Kyuss days. I dunno how he manages to it. That's really important for me when it comes to music I like. I can't stand it when songs on a certain album all seem to be ripping each other off.
I'll have to get my hands on more of their songs and check that out, because variation is definitely a plus in music. Some bands I can stand a little repetition in basslines and guitar riffs (especially if they're good riffs in the first place) but of course there are bands that get lazy with it. You really have to have the albums to notice that type of thing, and though I like the stuff I post, I'm not a big buyer of albums like I used to be. Got tired of being disappointed.

Sorry, but that was an extremely dumb post. That isn't opinion, it's fact.

Song's for the Deaf is one of my favourite albums ever, also Era Vulgaris (their most recent) is great, here's some off the latter:

3's & 7's

I Wanna Make It Wit Chu (ignore the shitty video, dunno why they made it)

I'm Designer

Well, Dave and I are two people here that disagree with you, and all you really need is there to be one person in disagreement to make an "opinion" out of a "fact". We've got nothing against your music you like, but you stating your opinions as fact insults our taste in music. And that's something that we try to avoid doing.

senob knows a thousand songs ... and if we don't behave he'll post 'em.

 Oh I know a hell of a lot more songs than this. These are just the ones that are on my "every song that I like" playlist! (and even then mostly just the stuff with official videos) It would be a lot easier if I could post them all at once, but you know: "five a day is the magic rule". Besides, I enjoy posting them. Soon I'll be done posting the 00s (like I already am with the 60s, 70s, and 80s). But the 90s I'll be at for awhile. After all, I grew up then, that's my defining era.

personally i think modern music sucks, where's the imagination and creativeness along with the talent.
