I liked one character from it.
Who? :dunno:
I liked one character from it.
That must've been torture.
I'm veeeeeeery iffy about the idea of a FFVII remake. I actually wrote a short article about it for one of the gaming blogs I occasionally write for...

If you can't be assed reading it, the basic gist is that if they remake it, I'll play it, but I'm just as content if they don't.
That must've been torture.
When rumors were out that Square was remaking FF7, I was first on board, but now I am pretty much against it. They will just make it look like how most of their games look now (all futuristic, bland, and worst of all nothing special). So please Square, leave it alone. In fact, just hand over the complete FF series back over to Hironobu Sakaguchi and his MistWalker studios. You're tearing down one of the best franchises of all time, so just stop!
I'd agree with these sentiments. My first reaction at the FF7 remake idea was positive, but now I too think remaking it would be a big mistake. There's a certain charm and soul in the game as it is now... I fear that would all get lost for the sake of flashier graphics and photorealistic CGI. Besides, that chilling scene of Sephiroth walking through the flames in Nibelheim is incomparable. Why even bother messing with something that is already the gold standard of video games? :hatsoff:
Then VII is diamond standard :tongue:
Gold standard of video games ins Orcarina of Time. Just sayin'.
Yucky Zelda games!
The Zelda games aren't that bad.
i see clearly that d&d is where all rpg videos games were born from.
Fuck yes it is!! :glugglug::yesyes:
heh yeah, as a huge rpg video game fan (especially older titles like ff1 and 2, dragon warrior, and the like) i was pretty surprised to see they were all born from d&d. the experience point and level up features, the growth in strength, speed and etc, the gathering of information, towns, monsters, shops, inns. it all came from d&d.
ive recently picked up my first d&d set and am loving the game play. as a matter of fact, i just completed an encounter not 10 minutes ago.
