How can you not like the likes of marlon brando, Gene Hackeman, Anthony Hopkins, there the cream of the crop.

my vote go`s to Al Pachino loved him in Scarface  "Say Hello to My Little Friend" :D

Rod Stieger was the preist in the Original Amityville.

i voted hoffman, as he is the most consistant, yet whilst pacino and de niro seem doomed to play the same old haggard roles nowadays (in a harrison ford style scenario), hoffman keeps his work fresh.

Hoffman played a good part in StrawDogs

All mentioned are good actors (more or less)
Just to participate in poll, would vote Robert De Niro

There are also Charles Bronson, Yul Bruner, James Caan, Steve Mc Queen, Steve Buscemi, Rutger Hauer, Errol Flynn, Clark Gable, Jack Palance, Robert Vaughn, Roy Scheider, Clint Eastwood, Paul Newman and many others that are worth to be in that poll. It is hard for me to find a favorite actor.

Another very difficult choice, especially because I would put a lot of other names that deserve to be mentioned as well (Gregory Peck, Clint Eastwood, Sir Laurence Olivier, Sidney Poitier, Charles Bronson and many more...). Well, if I have to pick one actor of the list, let Gene Hackman be my choice.

Steve Mc Queen was alright, never really said much in his films though.

I believe you mean, Yul Brynner. Yul Bruner, or Brunner, was the inside joke name of one of the cast of the movie, Cool Runnings. :hatsoff:

Where the hell did you get that list.
Jack Nicholson (only plays Jack Nicholson)
Rod Stieger (couldn't even act on stage due to never remembering his lines)
Anthony Hopkins (was only really famous for one role and did that to death)
Marlon Brando (was a really good actor in his youth, but lost the ability the older and weirder he got)
Dustin Hoffman (Tootsie is his second highest acclaimed role and thats a terrible movie)
The whole of these in one go Al Pachino, Gene Hackeman, Robert De Niro (if not are the whole film, won't be in it and often are over shadowed by other actors and actresses in it)
Christopher Walken (does not often take major or starring roles, prefers to be more of a fringe actor)
Malcolm McDowell (can't even get decent roles in his own country)

So I guess I'll be voting #11 none of them! as IMO not one of them are really Legends as you put it. In fact most over rated.

Plus You've only picked from the modern era, what a shame as most of the best actors came from before it.

Al Pachino for me,

his performances really stick with you and he's played such a wide range of roles.
