After the game getting rained out, how do they work it out. I know during regular season they just play at a latter date or 2 in a day, but what about the series - Does it just knock all games bak 1 day.

5-4 to the Cards. giving them a 3-1 series lead. Detroit will have to go some to take the series. At least the defeat was closer than the other defeats.

this would be the time where i say that there is no way detroit can come back, but i learned my lesson on saturday with nebraska.

so i will say it really soft maybe noone will see it!:1orglaugh

detroit cant come back. its over

i heard last night that the tigers are the first team to have their pitcher commit an error in each of the first four games of the world series. now its five. this record will never be broken.:D

In sports you should never say a record can never be broken, because with my luck when the record is finally broken it will probably help the other team or hurt mine.

I switched the channel. It looks like Detroit did end up loosing this game. They might have been the better team, but I can't say St. Louis didn't deserve it. They scored more points than the Tigers in four out of seven games. There seem to be a lot of mistakes in this series.

Huge congratulations to the St. Louis Cardinals!

and

to the Detroit Tigers, the Tom Emanski defensive drill video...

I guess the baseball Gods are making it up to the Cards for all those recent playoff teams that were actually good and lost to inferior teams that suddenly got hot. Those wacky baseball Gods and their mysterious ways. :dunno:

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
The Cardinals do not deserve to fucking win the World Series at all. They had the shittiest season and the only reason they made it to the playoffs if because everyone in their division is just that much worse. They got fucking lucky and have had a few good games in the playoffs and have also been very lucky in the playoffs. The Tigers deserve it so much more than they do. I mean come on....they had a 83-78 season.....5 GAMES ABOVE 500!! They don't deserve this shit at all. Plus most of the players on The Cardinals are assholes anyways and think they are sweet and have giant egos. Especially that fucking Yadier Molina....fuck that asshole, hes like a second year catcher and already thinks hes the shit....yeah, right. Ivan is like 4 million times better than your ugly ass. Well thats about all I have to say about the The Shitnals. Fuck Eckstein, fuck Wilson, fuck Pujols, fuck Rolen, fuck Belliard, fuck Edmonds, fuck Taguchi, fuck Miles, fuck Reyes, fuck Weaver, fuck Molina, and....fuck Carpenter and Suppan, who are the two biggest assholes on the team. Carpenter=worst Cy Young winner ever.

Wow, you Tiger fans are such good sports! The Cardinals DID deserve to win beacuse they beat everybody else in the playoffs, including your overrated Tigers. Case closed. Deal with it.

im thinking the baseball gods are making it up to the cardinals for having the curse of the babe lifted at the expense of them. but, the cardinals did deserve the title. they ruled the tigers. enough said.:D

Ah, good point. Those baseball Gods sure are wise and just. :1orglaugh

Plus, I'm thinking a little karma was involved for the tigers for piggy backing that cheating, cameraman punching Kenny Rogers the whole way. The Detroit tigers everyone, your American League champions!

Sox '05 and '07 :angels:

To be fair, the team the Cardinals took into the playoffs was better than their overall season record would indicate. While they had the same superstars all throughout the year they cut some of the fat in the form of releasing people that were terrible and adding decent replacement level players. It was addition by subtraction for them. The tigers were the better team but it isn't mind boggling that the Cardinals won the series, as it would seem at first glance.

D-rock, didn't you say you are Cub fan? Why on earth are you defending the Cardinals? LOL You should be pissed man! ;) j/k

Seriously, my cousins are die hard Cub fans and on Sunday they were all crying in their oatmeal. It was a sad sight. First the Sox win it last year, and now the Cardinals win it the year after. I tried not to say anything. I really did feel bad for them....for once.

Well it is sort of true. :1orglaugh

Considering it has been almost 100 years (98 now I think) since the Cubs won the Series and were the best in the league there has literally been generations of Cub fans that have been born, lived, and died that have never seen the Cubs win. There aren’t too many major sports franchisees in the world that can claim that. There is probably only a handful of people in the world that actually remember the event since they would have to be pushing well past 100 years old by this point. With all that crushing disappointment and losing things like this tend to roll of a lot of Cubs fans backs, at least a lot of them I have known. Like it is almost as if things like this are to be expected in a way because many of us have become so desensitized to it. :1orglaugh

Also unlike the some of the other big rivalries in sports like the Yankees/Redsox, Colorado Avalanche/Detroit Redwings of a few years ago, and the old Raiders/Steelers rivalry it's slightly more friendly where fans don't have voodoo dolls of members of the other team that they work on and wish for their planes to crash.

I do have to admit though that the actual hardcore Cubs fans out there are some of the most loyal fans in the world....although I guess I'm biased. ;)

is this not the statement of the century or what? you cub fans just dont quit. i love that. i dont see it in l.a. angel fans are bandwagon jumpers, and dodger fans arrive in the 2nd and leave in the 7th. man am i glad i am a tribe fan.

being a die hard red sox fan, i feel the pain of cubbie sufferers......

since we won ours (i can now pass into the afterlife) of course i want to win again.

Personally, i think the Tigers blew it rather than the Cardinals won it...however that is just double speak as the "best" team for those five games clearly won....

boo his booooo
