He knows it. I told him he other day "Ya know,it must be great to be a Yankee. Your team atleast has a chance to win every single year" He told me maybe it was time I switch over.

yep, they are arrogant too. i just thought of something. when travis hafner's deal is up, i think georgey will overpay him too. if that happens, its ww3 in my house.:1orglaugh

haha my hated yanks lose again........

i forsee huge changes to yankee land next season

I hope so. I miss the days where Stienbrenner would blow a gasket whenever his team didn't make it and erupt in his dictator like display of anger. Sometimes that was pretty entertaining.

National League- the Mets have the best record and habe been the best time all year, but they haven't been playing well down the stretch. The Cardinals have absolutely faded and were lucky to make the playoffs. To me it's either going to be the Dodgers or the Padres. I give the nod to the Dodgers because they're really hot right now. They've got good pitching and they've gotten big hits when they needed them late in the game.
American League- I think the Yankees are just too strong and will win. The Tigers' great season will end against New York, and I see Minnesota with its strong pitching taking care of Oakland. New York will beat Minnesota, but it will be a good series. Then in the World Series the Yankees will beat the Dodgers.

Of course, it could turn out that I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, and that I was completely wrong about everything. :dunno:

Well my Yanks lost, the Mets won...so I shall become a Mets fan until they win the World Series or get eliminated. The Mets and the Tigers will Play in the world series, but the Mets will win in 6 games.

Well there is a already a report Torre will be fired and Loun Pinella is coming back as manager...Also I really cant see A-rod being a Yankee next year the fans there will make his life a living hell

nah, that wont happen. rodriguez is staying in new york. i mean, who will take him now?:1orglaugh

but, mark my words. as soon as steinbrenner can, he will go after travis hafner. my tribe has to lock him up this year. i know he is just a dh, but this dude can hit!

i have to agree....for the yankees addition by subtraction would be in their best interest.

ARod puts up good numbers, but hes not clutch and never has been.

I miss Steinbreners explosions as well.

Its not Torre's fault, but when your a manager, you are the fall guy so to speak

Let's go Padres!

The Tigers are looking really good. What was really surprising about them beating the Yankees was that they didn't have much trouble doing it.

As a manager you get no credit if you win but all the flak when you lose. It is a hard task and one that when he gets paid such a lot of money when everyone knows how it is in sports has to be expected.

I probably wouldn't fire Torre. I don't think he is a different manager than he was six years ago when the Yankees were great, and if I did it certainly wouldn't be with somebody like Lou Piniella like some reports are suggesting. I do sort of feel sorry for Alex Rodriguez. Clutch hitting is completely a myth and anti-clutchness is almost completely a myth also with maybe a few exceptions. His lack of hitting in the playoffs is probably almost due to small sample size and luck. Getting rid of him would be a mistake.
