Ask a canadian person...

Why the fuck have you guys kept the asshole monarchy?

I mean christ your neigbours to the south did a good job in getting rid of them why couldnt you follow suit and that goes for the rest of the nations that still holds the British Monarchy in some sort of high regard. They are a bunch of inbred assholes and they should have been guillotined long ago.

Cromwell had the right idea off with their heads, if he wasnt such an evangelical moron he would have been a hero.

My advice to you is on there next state visit, assassinate as many as you possibly can. Do us all a favour. :D

And that ladies and gentlmen to the North West is my :2 cents:

It's very hard for me to answer or comment this. If there is something that have always been different between French Canada and English Canada, it's the perception of the British Monarchy, especially regarding her symbolic role in the political structures of Canada.

The Queen, when she comes in Canada, is usually appreciated by the Canadian population... and she nowadays avoids to come in Québec Province.

An English Canadian might provide a better comment or answer than I do. :hatsoff:

It doesnt really matter, it just gave me a chance to post a little bit of hate towards the monachy :D

As for the dark-side, get us angry and we might torch the White House again. :)

I'm sure I've got some matches round here somewhere.......;)

Even if i'm french canadian, don't worry, i wont speak french

But feel free to use the accent. :D

I've noticed most hot "Americans" are actually Canadian, Pamela Anderson and Trish Stratus are a couple more examples. :wave2:

I personally want nothing to do with it. That's the misconception. Just because the government holds on to the British Monarchy doesnt mean the people of the country hold on to it as well.

If you think about it, the rednecks of the south are still upholding the British Monarchy. They tried to abolish the central banking system and be able to form their own currency without having to pay for it. Instead there were cockmongling queefburgers that got into power and fucked everything up. So now they have the Federal Reserve Bank, which has funded both sides of both world wars, and has ties to German, British, and American families.

Currently, the British Monarchy has the world by the balls thru the United states of America. The Canadian people in general want nothing to do with it because we are smarter and more observant. Down in the states, dumbing down the public is paramount, just so they don't have a giant overthrow.

So to answer your question... Fuck the British Monarchy, it can suck my white salty balls.

So...

What's the deal with those 'mounties'?

How often do they 'mount'?

Good for you :D :hatsoff:

I wasnt really asking the general Canadian public more of a question about why the Canadian government still holds the monarchy in such a high regard.

I as a Brit personally cant stand the monarchy, and im hopeing after the last 2 generations die off, we all come to our senses and get rid of those tax dodging assholes once and for good.

Yes they are a good tourist attraction but thats it, the UK has plenty more to withstand the loss.

Probably because the Canagian governmet is stuck sucking on the Brit's teets, much like the US government.

BTW, if you don't believe in what they are doing, try not to call yourself a Brit. That's supposedly a separate namesake alltogether which supports the horrible cause they are going for... It can be seen on the Illuminati site.

Am I the only person completely bemused by this post?

Tax dodging? On her accession the Queen gifted all the income from her Crown Estates to the Treasury. These amount to roughly double any payments she receives from the public purse. Most of which is spent on wages and upkeep of buildings which in her absence would still be maintained by the taxpayer anyway. And yes, she does pay tax on all her income.
We have been faultlessly represented by a hugely respected Head of State (who has been around at the top longer than anyone else on the planet , who has met all the Heads of State from Roosevelt onwards and knows a bit about what she is doing) and you can't wait for it all to end.Who do you want to represent us at State occasions? Nosepicker Gordon Brown?Peter Mandelson?John Prescott?

I would much rather the leader of this counrty represent us on state occasions, you know, the person who actually has the power to make the big dicisions that affect us all. Not a person who basically has no power to make state decisions. If that has to be Brown then so be it. Maybe that wont make us so kitsch in the eyes of the world but I believe its a price we need to pay.

She's a fine tourist attraction and I suppose thats all she's good for, stimulating the economy one Palace at a time, but as one of the riches land owners on the planet to even dare to ask the taxpayer for the funds for the maintenance on her palaces is a joke.

Yes maybe I was wrong about the tax dodging thing, but you have your opinon on the monarchy and I have mine, I just believe that as soon as the monarchy are gone the better. People in this day in age should not live in palaces and beleive they are on the throne because it is gods will.

If you me that woman in the pub you would think she was crazy.

What about the Elysee Palace? Honestly though, they don't own the palaces, it's just felt that the Head of State of a major country might as well live in a place worthy of that country. The palaces are national monuments and would be maintained at public expense anyway. They aren't patricularly comfortable to live in either.
I don't know whether she thinks she reigns by God's will but she does know she was asked to do so by Parliament assembled which gives her some legitimacy.I rather like the idea of my Head of State being above politics and just doing the best she can for the country.
As for cost-how much does a President cost during a lifetime? How many Heads of State actually more than pay their own expenses ?

I think we'll have to agree to disagree.

This back and forth gets us nowhere :hatsoff:

Is it really true that socialized medicine is better than the bullshit stuff we have here?

Hard to speak the truth on this very question.

Let's say that the canadian socialized medicine works. Unless your life is endangered, you have to wait. But as soon as you are treated, it's very effective and fast.

Micheal Moore's Sicko portray of our system is not accurate. Canada's system is far to be perfect.

The waiting time can be long. For some operations, it can be up to 6 or 8 months. But... everyone can be treated.

One of the most important drawback is for doctors. Their income is lower here than it is elsewhere.

Let's say also that the socialized medical system is valued highly by most citizens. It's appreciated and thrusted. It might even be considered part of the canadian identity by some people. A large majority of canadians beleive the canadian system is better. I haven't found a single unbiased study to support or not this beleif.

If i can, i would even suggest to people of all political allegiance to dig a little on this subject. Socialized stuff is not always evil.

Don't know why either. I'm from the English part of Canada and can't stand the BS government formed by the British. I think the Senate should be abolished. One the one bright side, if the Queen dies, then Chuck becomes king. With those big ears, he might get shot by mistake as a moose.

Truth or trash -

Most, if not all of the "yellow cake" discovered in Iraq was shipped to Canada to feed their nuclear power plants. (?)

The French part of Canada sums it up. :)
There is a lack of doctors here but for those lucky enough to have a family doc, they are appreciated.

As for the emergency department, they assess on priority. I went into the hospital complaining about chest pains and a tingling arm and I was immediately looked at. It was only hypertension but I was forced to stay in the hospital for observations since my BP and HR would spike while I was resting. As for another visit to the ER, they told me to see my dentist since I tried to eat a hockey puck.

So...

How often do they 'mount'?

Nowadays not often. Today the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is a national police force that dresses in standard police outfits with modern police equipment and vehicles. The bright red uniforms and hats are still used for special occasions and ceremonial purposes, but it's rare that you'll see an RCMP officer on duty in traditional wear.

The RCMP was formed in 1920 and back then before cars and firearms were readily available a Mountie wore the traditional uniform and rode on horseback.
