No. Cigarettes are referred to as fags. ****** was an olden days term for a quantity of sticks, as there are no more sticks left in the UK (thanks a lot Liechtenstein!) the term is now not relevant.

I've heard fags (not faggots) used to describes cigarettes but gay people are often called faggots and sometimes fags. Not by me of course
