Do the English really like warm beer, or is it just because Lucas was the Prince of Darkness.

If you're drinking an ale it's better to drink it if you want more flavour out of it in a chilled state rather than an ice cold one.

But as I'm not a big ale drinker I'll have to say no to that.

Dang! How old are you guys? Or maybe it's, how much older am I than you? :helpme:

You've never heard of Lucas Electronics? The old jokes about Lucas... the Prince of Darkness? No? Never? OK. I'm on my way back to the rest home now. And ask your parents about Lucas! Dang, crazy kids and their new fangled ways!

I agree with that. Ice cold is too much... the temp overwhelms the flavor.

Say, tell me that you've heard of Lucas. Lie to me. I don't care. Geez, Brits who don't know the oldest joke in the book about why they drink warm beer and they can't drive their cars at night.

OK, I'll ask my GRANDPARENTS!

Start out asking them to tell you the story of British Leyland. It's a long story... with a sad ending. My favorite kind. :D

:dunno: What decade was this Gramps?

Uh, Lucas was making shitty electronics up through the 80's, I believe. Way, way before any of you youngsters were around. :D

How popular is Top Gear in your country?

Although it's broadcast on BBC2 which is seen as a channel catering for minority tastes, it's the highest viewed programme on this channel.

And what's the deal with BBC? Is it true that they have no ads?

The BBC is funded by a law enforced tax called the 'Licence Fee'. If anyone refuses to pay they can be fined £1000, or face a custodial sentence.

Hugh Laurie will always be Bertie Wooster. He was great in 'Jeeves and Wooster'. They don't make those sort of adaptations anymore.

And Lieutenant The Honourable George Colthurst St. Barleigh MC.

Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture, torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals.

No. 'Top Gear' is the dogs bollocks whilst 'Fifth Gear' is pony.

I think I know what that means...

Thank goodness for BBC America, as I've come to love Top Gear.

BTW, who is The Stig? Latest rumors, anyone?
