Although by this point it probably wouldn't be very smart economically. However, why is independence stupid? Maybe these people don't want to fall under the British rule. If independence was stupid then the United States wouldn't exist. But the Scots are so much a part of the UK. It would be stupid now.

Stupid is not knowing the difference between English and British......you know Scotland is on the Isle of Great Britain and therefore Scots are British...........right?
