That's what I was wondering. Hasn't the formation of the Scottish Parliament cost a fair amount already and if independence was achieved how would that effect the average Scotsperson? Will they be better off or worse?
Scotland would end up like Ireland if they got their independance. They just don't have the income to sustain themselves as an independant state.

It would mean that free University placements and free medicine prescriptions would probably be a thing of the past and taxes would probably go throught the roof.

Let me clear up the fact that i don't hate English people. IF anything i hate England as a nation and the English mentality to some things.
When i go to England, i don't hate everyone there. I also know afew English people and the fact that they are English doesn't bother me.
Supporting ABE is just banter and being jealous that Scotland finish 3rd in every qualification group, when 1st place goes through automatically and 2nd place goes into the play offs

You haven't got a big enough population to possibly substain yourselves in this economic climate, and your GDP would just be laughable. You would require the British pound to have any chance of possibly surviving, and it would be ridiculous to "let you go" as we have so much invested in Scotland, especially in OUR North Sea oil. It wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for England, so Scotland has no claim to it whatsoever.
It was a stupid idea for us to even give you the power of parliament and independence like you have now, as we own your ass, and that's the only reason why you really hate us. It was always gonna come to this at one point or another because you Scots are so dogmatic and single minded in independence. The idea of opening out the question to the people to vote on is just ludicrous as they'd answer with their hearts instead of there heads. Those hearts that are ridden with disease from poor diet, and reliant upon the NHS!

Its an easy generalisation to say you hate the English, I'm marrying an English girl - Does that make me some traitor or turncoat in the eyes of my countrymen?
The Scottish are a proud people, we have an interesting history but we also know when to let shit go. If the events of 600 years hadn't have happened, would you still be saying "As much as I love Scotland and hate England"? I doubt it.
