The dangers to journalists in Russia have been well known since the early 1990s, but concern at the number of unsolved killings soared after Anna Politkovskaya's ****** in Moscow on 7 October 2006. While international monitors spoke of several dozen deaths, some sources within Russia talked of over two hundred fatalities.

I wonder how one might react to such numbers if they were being produced in their own back yard; like in Spain, for instance.

As the ******* of Russian journalists go unsolved, there are increasing signs that the impunity of Russia’s contract killers is not accidental. One reason for the lack of progress may be that the *************** organs that are responsible for investigating the ******* of Russian journalists are actually involved in carrying them out.
The involvement of *************** officers in contract killings should be a momentous scandal, but the elimination of independent centers of power in Russia under Prime Minister (and former president) Vladimir Putin has created a situation in which the organs of *************** are integrated into the corrupt oligarchies that run the country. When the interests of those oligarchies are threatened by independent reporting, *************** is unable to restrain corrupt interests and is often in league with them. As a result, contract killers function as the ultimate censors.
Oh that's just silly. Pure speculation and hyperbole. I'm sure the stunning epidemic of journalist deaths under Putin in Russia has nothing to do with him at all :angels:
Probably the Russian people are just driven into a murderous rage when their paper boys deliver to the wrong address![]()
Here another mystifier...welcome!
While you are here could you please tell me:
1) Where do i mention hundreds of journalists.
2) Where do i mention that Putin is absolutely not connected with any of the journalists deaths.
3) Where do i mention journalists at all.
Now, since i just mentioned Politkovskaya and i simply contested the sentence absolutely sure about Putin being behind her *******, you can, please, gently go fuck yourself.
About my backyard in Spain, i'm real glad that over here neither hundreds of journalists get ******, nor Spanish citizens are ****** in Spanish soil by drones remotely controlled by the Prime Minister. Now, the second is an absolute fact happening in your backyard, that's for sure.
Amen.
