It really bothers me when the authorities ask me for identification when I'm making cereal. Come on! Let me live (and eat) my Life!

don't get me wrong i am all about freedom and not being unnecessarily harassed by law enforcement, i'm just saying we're already required to have identification and are regularly asked to show it and this is no different...if you were walking down the street and were accosted by a cop and he requested you show your ID and you refused he would most likely assume you were up to something and things would get uncomfortable to say the least...doesn't matter if it's legal, or right, it just is, and so long as the evidence is only word of mouth the authorities are going to believe whatever the man with the badge says you did...harassment? yes, wrong? yes but it's VERY difficult to fight over police harassment, especially in a one on one encounter...it can and has been done successfully, but it takes some serious effort

so you want graphs, surveys?
just knowing that millions use/have used the medical system for prenatal care, delivery, plus name the illness isn't enough?
just knowing that millions use and overcrowd the education system without contributing to it financially isn't enough?
just knowing that many of the millions collect forms of welfare ( free food, free money, free services) isn't enough?
just knowing that the legal/penal systems are also being pressed by them isn't enough?
just knowing that most don't pay federal or state tax but reep the benefits of those taxes isn't enough?

what do you think that stuff is free?
Dude, they cost money,a lot of it, theres no denying it.

you want a graph? yeah i got your graph right here.

remember busty, while your busy defending them to them you are just
a stupid gringo.

MP, it not clear or simple what is the net of cost and benefits of immigration. Here's an a
sophisticated analysis published by Rupert Murdoch's Wall Street Journal. Claims of lefty bias are not applicable and the conclusions mitigate your claims of the exorbitant cost of immigration. The benefits may exceed the cost producing an immigration surplus. If not it's more or less a wash.

Fair enough Y.
But I can't climb on board that one.
The massive numbers tells me another story.
I can't see how their presence can be considered a plus, especially ecomonically.
Like I said someones gotta pay for all that stuff, and it adds up to billions per year nationwide.
But, do you like the fact that there are so many millions of illegal mexicans in the country?

Hmm ok What happened to me.... Let's see um growing up I was walking home from a party middle of the night and a cop drove up and "thought that I was up to no good" so he decided to stop me and pat me down I was 16 at the time or just the other day I walked into a grocery store and the people there especially the older white people would clutch their purses like I was going to rob them. To answer your question yes Im black 6'2 with cornrows or braids never been arrested in college trying to get my degree in Video game design futhermore Ive kept me eye on ur posts for a while u wanna see insulting look at ur past posts
Man, I've been hassled by the police so many times also.
A lot.
I could tell you some storys too.
I'll tell you another thing, I'm white, italian looking.
I have currently a girlfriend who is 100% black colombian.
race is a non issue, we simply like each other.
but in my life, when i was the sole white guy in groups of black guys in the states, i was put down, insulted, abused even.
and in the schools today racial aggression is much more common black on white, to me that indicates a future trend.
so you say some whites act funny around you? Nervous?
i believe it., but maybe theyve had experiences in their lives to cause their reaction
but it goes both ways.
we just have to accept that right?
I mean its not everywhere, just sometimes it happens.
people will judge a book by its cover at times, although thats wrong, its gonna be like that always.

i don't blame illegal aliens as much as the businesses willing to hire them. if there weren't opportunities for work here in the u.s. they simply wouldn't show up.

yes, i blame the employers.
its a chicken or the egg thing.
That applys mainly to mexican men.
A lot come over alone or with friends to find work.
It doesn't apply really to couples and women.
Men can't collect shit, women on the other hand get pregnant, have kids, the country pays the bill.
Now thats not right.
Doncha think.

Now in all this talk in this thread, I still can't see one reasonable point to excuse or allow mass illegal immigration.
I'm convinced the main reason that the quality of life is always getting lower and lower is simply too many people.
For too long so many have been having children that they can't afford and The people have to pay for it.
Combine that with millions of illegals and what you have is a broken system
a system that can't handle the weight, and is collapsing.
California is a good example, new york, new jersey also.
I mean if youve got a boat that can only hold 10, and you put twenty in it, whats going to happen?

And you say that my posts are insulting?
I'm sorry you feel that way.
But I don't believe in double standards.
You post things that basically call whites racists.
To me thats insulting.
Lets just deal with it without getting offended right?

Yeah load up the prisons with a bunch of people who are trying to get jobs. Sounds like the AZ economy is gonna flourish

we'll this is gonna sound really weird but..... we could deport them? i dunno maybee like, i dunno to mexico. I know it sounds weird but dude, it's like where there like from n shit! Mexico dude WOOOOOOOO!

I think this bill will hurt Arizona in the long run because businesses and various events are talking about boycotting Arizona. This could financially cripple the state.

Let me get this right-you live in a supposed free country and are required to have identification? I would certainly have a problem because I don't have any and on principle wouldn't carry it if i did.
Civil liberties are very important. Sometimes they cause difficulties but that's a necessary price to pay for freedom.

It's a sham bill that won't address the long term problem of businesses hiring illegals, but will soothe the restless populace for a brief time. A substantial portion of law enforcement in the state has said that, as is, the bill has a large proportion of ambiguous language. Ultimately, businesses will determine what locales are the most lax on enforcement and re-thread the pipeline. Brewer did the right thing politically, of course -- formerly combative conservatives are now fawning over her.

There is a civil liberties issue, but then ever since 9/11 I've noticed a substantial portion of people in the US aren't particularly concerned with civil liberty issues that don't seemingly affect them.

We could seal the border? Then we could use the Old law to deport the illegal aliens (except we would start enforcing it) instead of ignoring it.
