Well, I've never seen a cat put their nose right in someones crotch when they meet them for the first time.
Dogs win.

Dog's are as dumb as bricks so they are. They NEED to be trained in just about everything before they become bearable in living with them. Cats on the other hand need no such fuss made over them. Cats are cleaner as well. Cats are definitely more clever out of the box as it were.

I have both cats and dogs...and while I love my dogs to death...I gotta go with cats. I'm definitely a cat person. When my dogs give me love, its like "ok, thats what dogs do"...but when one of my cats comes and curls up in my lap, or gives me head butts....I melt and think "omg this cat MUST love me!!!" because cats are usually VERY sparing with their affections (comes with them being so independent) And plus, they're smart. Like really smart. They know how to get what they want out of you, and I can appreciate that.
Even if you get the smartest cat in the world, it still shits in it's own house, My dog raises his tail and pops through our fence, just to not shit in his own yard. now every dog doesn't keep his territory clean, but most of your better breeds will if they have the room to do so. All cats crap in a box in there own home. My dog would never do that,literally he learned form his father, my fathers dog, not to crap in the house or yard, and they use the woods behind our homes. Easiest dog I ever had, to train. The older dog taught him everything,lol. So I say dogs.

I vote cats. I've had two for over 15 years (which is like 75 in human years, and they don't appear to be aging, which is odd).
Dogs aren't dumb, and I suppose can be pretty cool to have, but it's like having something around that is always one step away from having an annoying spaz attack regarding something stupid.

It's true though. Cats are cleaner they don't piss and poop all over the place like dogs do. They don't roll around in crap (or whatever else is on the ground). They don't drink out of the toilet or try and eat someones puke. I've seen all of that done by dogs in the past. Nah dogs, for the most part, are not idea pets in my eyes. Cats would be more preferable. They are after all more user friendly. I know some people that think dogs are the best. But to each their own thing I say. And cats are like Ninja's anyway. I mean look how they can get around the area they are in. They can pounce and climb to and from places you would be surprised at them getting to.

Dogs are more friendly, social, fun, active and loyal. But cats are cuter, cleaner, softer, more spontaneous and independent, and the purring is a huge bonus.

I hate all cats, I only liked 1 cat in my entire life. His name was Max he was my Aunt's and he was so fat he had diabetes but he lived until he was 22. I love dogs but it depends on the breed, my favorite being Dachshunds and Rottweilers and I cannot stand fucking Jack Russells all they do is run around bite you and all they want to do play also their retarded to boot.
