Any UFC fans present?

the only problem I had with last night's fights, it was real late when I got home to watch them on tape, was none of them went past the first round. Maybe one went to the second. I felt bed for Gina, she didn't look ready for Cyborg's power. The next fight will be better but I don't know if Gina will have enough, she looked slow. Babalu got worked bad, wasn't even fun to watch that ass whoopin

Yes those matches did end fast. I don't think Gina will EVER be able to beat Cyborg. She is a damn hoss in the ring. I know anything can happen but if I were Gina I would wait at least a year and three more fights before I asked for a rematch. I wonder what would've happened had Gina made it one more second and could've stretched it out to the second round. Gina actually did pretty good on the ground compared to Cyborg. I knew when she got up out of the guard and wanted to stand back up she had messed up.Frank Shamrock said the samething.

 on Bablu's fight

my girl likes to watch fights with me, EVER!!!!, she gets so into them i have to have her sit on her hands so she won't throw stuff at the t.v. and breck it

My girl is a huge Forrest Griffin fan...She gets all hott and giddy when he on..Actually cied when Silva KO'ed him...Well I do the same when Felice Herrig or Gina Carano are on or get beat.

Oh, come on. There have been a lot of really exciting boxing matches.

I'm a much bigger MMA fan, but that doesn't stop me from watching boxing matches from time to time.

There is something appealing about the simplicity of boxing because the top boxers are the absolute best at what they do.

As for the health risks, MMA hasn't been around long enough yet to determine the longterm dangers. Who knows? They say it's less dangerous, but decades from now, it's possible we might find it to be a different story.

Maybe, but the outcomes are limited. Any damage to your body creates long term and short term problems. MMA fighters are the best at what they do which takes more time and effort given that there's more than punching. MMA has been around for 16 years which is long enough to see any dangers and it's starters are still in great shape.

Couture/Noguiera is going to be awesome. Couture wants another shot at Brock. I don't think he is going to beat Noguiera though. His age has to catch up to him eventually. Right?

UFC 106

Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin.

Carwin was supposed to fight Cain Valasquez at 104. Anybody know what happened with that?

Oh. Carwin wins by KO. ;)

Carwin is a big boy and may have what it takes to beat Brock. That said, i ain't betting against Lesnar anytime soon.

I don't think anyone in the Heavyweight can take out Brock just yet. Make that UFC heavyweights because there is one certain Strikeforce guy who could beg the differ.

I think Coture wins this Saturday night. He still has one more good year left in him.

To beat Brock, you need a very strong fighter with great ju-jitsu or a long reach and precise striking. Without that, he's staying champion. Antonio should win though both him and Randy are older fighters that still have skills so both have a good chance.

1 hour 45 minutes into PPV and only a couple fights have gone past the first round. Nate Marquardt nailed Damien Maia. Some dude named Duffy set the record for fastest knock-out. Some awesome knockouts, but no great fights so far. Keith Jardine didn't make it 100 seconds against Thiago Silva

Randy Couture was dominated by Nogueira. Lesser men would have been submitted in the first or second. Randy made it a fight til the end. Randy said 205 is an option for him. I think he has the strength for 205, but the speed of the fighters would be a MAJOR concern.

thanks feller i forgot about today's ppv i'm glad Thiago Silva won he's a beast! i wanted Randy to win but i knew that nogueria was going to be very difficult to beat. he should definitely retire he has nothing to prove he's a legend.

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
Thanx for the updates Feller469. :hatsoff:

So Randy lost but fought good huh? but ma dude Ed Herman lost, ma dude Chris Leban lost, but ma dude Brandon Vera won.

I didn't even know who was fighting 2 nite, I wasn't even aware some of ma dudes they were on the card. IMO None of them were epic bouts that I had to know the results of immediately.

Trust me When Jackson fights Evans I will wanna know the minute Jackson wins. :D

The same degree of anticipation of results will go for whenever Silva fights again. :2 cents::hatsoff:

p.s. how does 1 get KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT 7 seconds into a fight?? run to the center of the ring with their hands down & give the opposition an uncontested 1st punch???:eek::dunno::rofl2:

First punch was a jab, it was the third and fourth punches that finished it.

Maia was knocked horizontal by Marquardt. Words don't do justice to how cool that knockout was. Marquardt showed a lot cool by not hitting Maia again. he could have done some serious damage, chose to not punish the guy.

I agree that Nogueria had the advantage in strikes and controlled the ground game better than Coture did but you call that a domination? There was several good strikes Coture landed on Nogueria and Randy also had ground advantage at least twice. No doubt he lost but by no means a domination. Machida versus Evans was a domination. This was noy IMHO

I was glad to see that Brandon Vera won. Give him another year and he will be a serious contender in the 205.

I have love for him because he is part of Team Lloyd Irvin. I used to train and my brother still trains under Ed Clay in Nashville,TN as part of Team Lloyd Irvin.

JT Torres one of the top ranked Brizilian Jiu_Jitsu fighters trains under Lloyd.

Vera showed some mad stand-up skills Saturday night. I loved his tornando kick. Did I hear Joe Rogan correctly???? Did he say that Brandon is one of the finalists for the US Olympic Wrestling team? If so that is impressive.

yep i'm a UFC fan and i just saw the results for ufc 96 and Rampage Jackson beat keith jardine. and earns a title shot against current champion Rashad Evans. this should be a great fight but i want Rampage to win!!!
