any black or death metal fans here ?

I've dropped my guitar down a flight of stairs and made better "tunes". Gah!!! :crash:

Exactly, I have real doubts as to whether or not it's actually a real song rather than just some idiot picking random notes and then posting it on youtube.

But if it is and you can find it on an album somewhere, :wtf:, people will buy anything!!!

Anyway, here are the originators :D
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath

First of all, there are only two kinds of music:

1: Heavy
2: Metal

!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hummmm... I´m mostly into Classic- and Power-Metal (I like melodies and I like to understand, what the guys and girls are singing... ;))

But I also here some Death Metal stuff. But mostly "modern" sorts like:

Pantera
Anthrax
Slayer

In Flames
Soilwork
Children of Bodom
Mercenary
Sentenced
Disturbed
Rammstein (no death metal, but kind of... hard to explain, but hey.. I´m german, I know to ID this kind of music!)

...and lots of others :fight:

Moving to a trailer in Fife, AL.
I listen to all sorts of rock/metal but cannot stand the "cookie monster" vocals of some "singers".

Spreading the seed
I used to go to a lot of shows. I have seen Death twice (Spiritual Healing and Human); saw Obituary right by the speakers watching my shirt blowing around from the power (guitarist Adam West was like 19 at the time); Cannibal Corpse Butchered at Birth Tour; Saw Pantera at least ten times, once in front of a crowd of about 80; Malevolent Creation, Cynic, Athiest, and all from the Tampa scene.

Love it.

im a huge fan of behemoth slayer lamb of god and devil driver.

Awesome bands, been listening to Slayer for years. Pantera is just pure fucking american metal that can kick anyone ass any day of the week

Evenfall.
Thy Serpent.
Immortal.
Burzum.
Dimmu Borgir [everything up till Spiritual Black Dimensions as that was their last great album].
Marduk.
Mayhem.
Gorgoroth.

Ect, ect.

The Evenfall album Still In The Grey Dying is their first studio album. It is their best effort as well. As the second album Cumbersome went all Lacuna Coil and shit on us. They tried to keep some of the BM elements of the first album [the male BM vocals] and they mixed it with Lacuna Coil's styled female vocals. It was some fucked up shit. The bitch on vocals on Cumbersome sounded like knives turning in your ears. They should have stuck to being an all male outfit. A kind of cross between goth and black metal - that is what Still In The Grey Dying is. Check out Youtube for Evenfall and the song: Black Bloody Roses.

Solid list.

The last two metal cd's I bought were Spiritual Healing and Unquestionable Presence back in July. At the moment my favorite bands are Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, Secret Chiefs 3, Justice, Death, Slayer, and Daft Punk. A far cry from when I was 14 and pretty much only listened to Metallica and Iron Maiden.

Dismember are the fuckin' GODS of Death Metal. Bow down, fools.

You should probably bow to Autopsy too... and Brutality, Immolation, Kaamos, Bolt Thrower, Iniquity, Gorguts, Repugnant... :D

Really though, I am a huge fan of late 80s to early 90s Death Metal, fuck most of that broootowel tech metalcore fuckin' whatever garbage. Atmospheric Black Metal along the lines of Blut Aus Nord and Drudkh is great, so is Folk & Viking Metal. I had my Metal Elitist phase for over a decade, so I still have kinda the same attitude when it comes to extreme metal.

Funny how people think bands like Pantera or Rammstein are B/D Metal, haha.

Still, in the end, I will listen to almost anything...
I'm a huge fan of Gabber, Speedcore, Extratone, Hip-Hop, Classical, Grindcore, Goregrind, Porngrind, EBM... So fuckin' eh, there's too many good types of music so I'm not gonna bother goin' on!

lmao, like 75% of the bands mentioned in this thread aren't BM or DM, what's up with that?

I listen to lots of BM, and some DM;

Akercocke
Alcest
Angantyr
Arcturus
Bathory

Coldworld
Darkspace
Darkthrone
Deathspell Omega ( favourite BM band, second favourite band all-time)
DHG/Dödheimsgard
Emperor
Empyrium
Enslaved
Entombed
Esoteric (funeral doom, just gonna list it here because it kicks silly amounts of ass)
Funeral Mist
I
Ihsahn
Immortal
Intronaut
Leviathan
Lurker of Chalice
Mayhem
Nile
Obscura
Opeth
Paysage d'Hiver
Primordial

I haven't seen many heavy bands so far...
What about Coffins, Mortician, Baal, The day everything became nothing, Repugnant Stench, Biological Monstrosity... etc..

How about Grave!! Old school Swedish death metal!!! Kicks as!!!

Truth. I used to be way into Grave. I still love 'em, but not like I used to. They were the first DM band I got into though, so respect for that. Dismember are still the gods of DM though.
