It's not only the British queen who recieves farming subsidy she doesn't need, other rich Europeans recieve them as well. I've always been against the EU and I can only hope it will fall soon. The EU is a politicians *****, not the ***** of the common man. There was a referendum in the Netherlands on wether or not to accept the European constitution and almost 60% voted against it but our government rammed it down our throats nonetheless. To me that proves the EU is by and for politicians.

I can sympathize. We've got similar politicians over here in the US ramming things down our throats that 60% of the population didn't and still don't want, just for their own power and greed. Seems to be a problem that's spreading, politicians not listening to their constituents and doing what they think is 'best' for us. That's not good and can only end badly.

I blame the chameleon-like group that started in the late 1800s/early 1900s, Progressives, that put us all on this road to ruin, just because they arrogantly thought (and still do) they knew better than the rest of us. Which is why when the majority of the people say one thing, they'll do another. They think they know better, and we're just a bunch of idiots that they have to take care of and dragged to what they deem as 'right.'

My previous employer was a manufacturer of high end yachts, I'm now working for a ****** owned (husband and wife) shipyard and it's not only me who gets a bonus. Everybody (wether it's me, or one of the carpenters or painters) who brings in a (potential) client gets a bonus if it results in a sale. I also don't have a top salary so it's not like I'm swimming in money. But that's not the point. The point is the EU is ****** us financially.

I have the feeling the EU is only good for poor Eastern European countries. They get higher standards. But better (yes I said better :thefinger) countries like Germany get fucked and become more and more fucked up!

Germans are going to be pretty pissed off here in the not too distant future. With the Euro crumbling, the Germans are going to have to bail everybody out, it seems.

As Americans we were all pissed off that our tax dollars went to bail out American bankers, auto firms, etc... For the Germans, they will have to stomach their tax dollars being shelled out to bail out insolvents from OTHER countries. Enjoy that.

The Netherlands gets fucked over just a bit more than the rest because we already pay more than any other country to the EU. Germany is a lot bigger and richer than us but we as a small country pay more.
