Even the average to the not-so-average r&b/hip-hop music producer in todays world understands that in order to make maximum $$ you must be as diverse as the audience who buys your music.

I was just reading my talent contract, since I'm going to be exhibiting at Adultcon in a few weeks and I was really surprised to read that transsexual performers cannot exhibit as talent.

From the contract:
1. DEFINITION OF “TALENT”
For the purposes of this agreement, Talent is defined as any non-transsexual individual participating in any form of legal sexual activity, posing topless or nude in photos or video or performing in adult movies,photographs or any other form of recorded medium. Only Talent, as described in this paragraph,may purchase a Talent booth.

Now, I guess I could kind of get their reasoning if Adultcon were a strictly female performers venue. However, the contract explicitly states, "any non-transsexual individual". Biological females AND males can show....it's just the trannies who can't.

What's the deal Adultcon? You're hosting a celebration of the sex industry and you prohibit a serious segment of legit performers? Are t-girls messier, noisier, costlier? Is there an unusual liability issue as far as insurance goes? Why write this into the contract? I'd ponder discrimination, but I'm well aware that a private venue can do anything they want to....I'm just not aware of why Adultcon would want to.

I would say if gay content and performers are not welcome, then trannies shouldn't be either, but if gay is there, then trannies should be there too.

I was thinking that social conservatives might rejoice. The combination of recession and free porn sharing has probably made porn less profitable. There really isn't a solution to it. But you know who does well? People like Reality Kings and Brazzers and others. I think if you have to have porn in the world, they're good. It seems like the old school LA industry seems to treat women so much worse. Or at least that's how the scenes look. I'm also seeing some starlets get more "mainstream" work in non-nude men's mags.
