A Note to the Boston Red Sox

Personally I hate Boston/ New England because every year the Pats eliminate my Chargers out of the playoffs.

But thats another story.

The pats arnt going to need to take out the chargers this year the way the are playing.;)

Fuck all the Redsox haters!:thefinger

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
99% of Red Sox fans are fucking fair-weather fans. They were a joke for years and years and years, up until a few years ago when they won the World Series. Now, they're the most popular team in baseball and "everybody" seems to be a fan. Fair-weather, all the way.

I can't wait until they start sucking again so I can see all these pro-Boston faggots start rooting for a brand new team all of a sudden. They'll want to fit in with the popular crowd and start rooting for the new, hip, trendy team that everyone else likes.

Fans like that are the worst. Be a real fan and support your team no matter what. You want to know what a real fan is? Talk to a Cleveland Browns supporter. They haven't won shit, yet, they have the most dedicated fans in the entire world.

I hate them for what they did to my team last year. It felt personal, and I will not and cannot let that go. It was like watching the neighborhood bully beat the crap out of your little brother, bitch slap your mom, push your Grandma over, and then key your car as he walked away, and there was nothing that you could do about it.

THAT'S why I hate the Red Sox.

Quit crying. You sound like a 16 year old girl who didn't the birthday present she begged daddy for. Maybe if (a big if) Colorado was more than a flash in the pan type team they would have been able to compete beyond the first inning of game 1 in the 2007 world series. You're 32? Grow up and get over it.

I can't see a salary cap making a difference, the Red Sox train their own players through their own schools, instead of buying in big names or grabbing up and comers, which is what could be argued in the case of the Rays (whatever happened to the Devil? Poor chap gets the worst press.......).

Never mind, the Cubbies will have even more fans next year, and in sixty or seventy years so will the Rockies. :1orglaugh :wave2:

Have you ever watched baseball before?

Here are some impactful players that made a HUGE difference in making the Red Sox who they are today, which don't fit into the "home bred" category...

Curt Schilling
Manny Ramirez
Derek Lowe
J.D. Drew
David Ortiz
Pedro Martinez
Tim Wakefield
Johnny Damon
Josh Beckett
Coco Crisp
Mike Lowell
...and more

I'd also throw Jason Bay on that list, but he's only been a member of the Red Sox for a few months.

No wonder politicians support sports so strongly, it keeps the masses too busy arguing with each other to notice what a lousy job they are doing. Same with the arts.

This thread must make politicians very happy.

Nice that you were able to name a handful of guys (Schilling,Damon,Martinez,Ramirez, and Lowe) who are either long gone or have ZERO to do with the Red Sox in these playoffs.

I believe the players HeyFellas was referring to are guys like Pedroia,Masterson,Delcarmen,Papelbon,Lester,Lowrie, and Ellsbury.

Yeah, these playoffs...but what about the past 3-4 years or so? They made the Red Sox who they are today. Without those guys, the Red Sox wouldn't even be talked about right now.

Jason Varitek too. He came with Lowe in that one-sided trade for Heathcliff "Slowpitch" Slocumb.

They actually have the balls to call themselves the greatest team in American sports history. I think that most of these idiots obviousley dont know about this little 86 year drought they had at one time. Gotta love those fans that came on the scene around 2004-2005.

That's true. He was taken by the Mariners in the draft, not Boston. Not to mention, Varitek has been a part of the "heart and soul" of the Red Sox for his whole career too, even though he wasn't bred in their farm system.

Wow. Intelligent, thoughtful, insightful, moving reply. Thank you for taking time out of your super bust day out there to post what really, I think, is the reply of the week.

I think I should send you a friend request. With your writing skills and abilities, and obvious mastery of the English language, I'm sure we could collaborate and write a best seller on why THE RED SOX FUCKIN' SUCK.

And, sir, so do you.

The Red Sox are no different than the Yankees nowadays. The only difference is that they actually produce good players in their farm system at the same time they acquire good free agents. Every thing has been working for the Red Sox lately.

Once again. Grow up and get over it. Colorado might have been good enough win the NL last year but simply weren't good enough to beat Boston. It wouldn't have mattered who it was from the national league. Boston still would have worked them over in 4 straight games.

How gay is the "Red Sox Nation" as well. Let them get beat out of the World Series one year, and then everyone will forget them like all the Yankees bandwagoners did with my team, I'm glad we lost most of that crowd.

I like how you act as if Boston did something "worthy" by beating COLORADO in 4 games last year. Colorado advanced in the playoffs, solely because of a blown call. They were an average team, at best, who got extremely lucky. And, I wouldn't say that "it wouldn't have mattered" who the Red Sox played last year.

Who did the Red Sox have to get through in the ALCS last year again? Oh yeah, that's right...the CLEVELAND INDIANS. AKA - The Colorado Rockies of the AL. Being proud of beating a mediocre team just shows how much a fair weather fan you are.

I'm a die hard Chicago Bears fan, but you don't see me boasting about our recent victory over the Lions.

I grow weary of you and your accusations and suppositions. (sorry, is that too tough of a word for you? I know, I know, it has more than one syllable. Here....let me try this....)

YOU ARE BAD MAN. ME NO LIKE YOU. YOU LEAVE MY THREAD NOW.

The Red Sox did do something worthy. It's called winning the world series. Nobody asks how you did it or who you beat. The winning is all that matters. You may not say it but I did. It wouldn't have mattered. You could have let any team from the national league play in that world series. Boston still would have swept. Far as the fair weather bullshit goes you can suck a dick. I've been a Red Sox fan since the Don Baylor,Dwight Evans, and Jim Rice days. I love how the fair weather card comes out soon as somebody supports a team.

I wouldn't be boasting about anything the Bears do either cause they suck.
