5 Alabama Cops Fired For Beating Unconscious Perp Who'd Been Ejected From His Car

Here Zombie, Zombie, Zombie...
That's why you wear your seatbelt. And I hate to say it, but those officers did cross the line. They let their emotions for what happened to their fellow officer get the better of them. Maybe they shouldn't have been fired and reassigned to cleaning the squad house forever or something.

My how times and the faces in leadership have changed in places like Birmingham Alabama is my 1st thought.Good thing too I think as we know what the past was like.

They shouldn't have beaten him but only checked whether he was a drug dealer and retire his driving license for the rest of his days and thrown him to jail if he was indeed a drug dealer.

Watching the video i'm thinking, man those cops are going to fuck that brotha up. The first guy to get a whack in was black, For some reason, I just started laughing.

I saw some goober on t.v. last night doing all sorts of verbal contortions and gymnastics trying give cover for what the cops were doing on that video.

The host was literally laughing to himself listening to the machinations of that tool. He actually claimed the guy could have been playing like he was unconscious. Yeah, the guy actually threw himself out the window of a tumbling van like a rag doll just to play like he was unconscous.:1orglaugh

I don't know what this world is coming to where you can't just come out an call something what it is. Everything is polarized where no one can simply speak plain and with common sense instead of sounding like they're the defense or prosecution witness.

It's clear what happened IMO. The cops were pissed at this guy for a number of reasons. He crashed, got flopped from the vehicle and the cops take that as an opportunity to kick the shit out of the guy and blame his injuries all on the accident. One problem, idiot 1-5 forgot that idiot no. 6 not only had his dash cam on but that it was aimed at the suspect. Career meet toilet....whoooosh!

Corrupt police, which there are far too many of today.

Give them life in prison. I'm tired of these jack-booted thugs always finding a way around the law.

i'm tired of them not being able to do enough when their lives are on the line. this guy was a murder suspect who had hit an officer with his car while trying to get away. fuck him, let the beating begin.

This trial will likely set a precedent in precincts throughout Alabama. I doubt whether police will be able to be heavy handed in the future, at least not without thinking first how they would cover up.

At least they bother to track drug dealers down still.

They know the risks when they sign up.

We have rights and he is a suspect, nothing has been proven yet.

It was funny see that guy flying out the window for not wearing seat belt and seeing the slow mo it reminded me of play by play by the news and then on top of that he's getting beated.....I love video recording devices these days..oh yeah about the cops well that kinda was messed up after the fact that he probably did feel anything. But like I said in another thread cops are instruments of the state.

Unfortunately, these kinds of incidents will continue to happen as long as police officers are humans. It's part of human nature to react impulsively, especially after chasing the guy for half an hour and seeing him run over their coworker.

Cops keep doing this because there is no real zero tolerance for it. When people report incidents and police brass take a serious but fair approach to it and juries start holding corrupt cops accountable when the evidence demonstrates it....reasonable cops will not not do this shit anymore....then all that's left is to weed out the sociopaths.

That they have a tough job is no excuse whatsoever. That they deal with scum is no excuse whatsoever. Beating a suspect doesn't solve anything and the only thing it does do is potentially subject the cop to disciplinary action or prosecution and subject the cop's jurisdiction to excessive cost from settlements and jury awards.

Juries need to understand that when they don't hold these guys accountable it likely ends up costing them money.

those rights should be forfeited when you do stupid shit. if he wasn't guilty of something, he wouldn't have to run. he deserves the ass kicking of a life time.

we need a gulag for people like that

was the suspect running drugs? did he try to run over a cop? did he put innocent people in danger?

If he is guilty on all three charges, why should my tax dollars go to his care in prison? Execute him. Maybe then some of these worthless pieces of shit will stop bringing society down.

Executing someone is way more expensive than keeping them in prison for life.

Really? Two meals a day for ten years, plus medical care, clothing, and countless other expenses vs. a lethal injection.

dogs get put down pretty inexpensively. I am sure there is tuff out there that could be used to put these people down pretty quickly. And since this person didn't care about my safety, I am not worried about his suffering.

The Constitution says no.

Lethal Injection isn't good enough.
