360 or ps3?

First of all fuck Halo! All of em! Gears was better, as for infinity ward...you make a good point. If they went exclusive to PS3 they could make a much better game. I'm still looking forward to it however.

I am considering picking up a PS3 in a few months though. For God of War 3. Also the double disk that has gow1 and 2 with updated graphics. gow 3 will sell PS3 consoles by itself. It was delayed twice already. But thats because they are working to make it perfect. Anything less and they'll get shredded by the reviews. They know they have a lot to live up to. Just look how much the first 2 games pushed the hardware on PS2! If they push the PS3 like that...WOW! PS3 does have the clear hardware advantage over microsoft. The game developers just haven't fully tapped the potential that is the PS3 powerhouse!

Thats the scary thing bro, they still have some juice to tap. When you look at how amazing the visuals are in Uncharted2,killzone2,LittleBIGplanet etc you kinda wonder if its possible for any games to look better. Uncharted2 is an amazing achievment in all aspects of game development. They are pulling off some sick shit with pyshics along side the insane visuals.

I'm gonna admit it,I want the GodofWar collection more for the GOW3 demo than the 1st 2 games and I never played GOW at all. I will def play through the first 2 though. I wanna know whats going on when GOW3 hits......

Def 360~ The controller is much more comfortable and suited to long hours of play without even a cramp! :dunno:

To be honest,I've never liked any incarnation of any XBox controller. The triggers suck and the button layout just didn't work for me,especially on the original controller for the first XBox(try to jump, shoot, and aim at the same time on the first Halo and you'll know what I mean).

I think that the PS3's controller is perfect, and that's pretty much why it didn't change much.
(Plus everyone pitched a bitch when they saw what the initial design of the PS3 controller looked like

,so Sony wised up and kept the PS3's controller more like the what everyone was used to in the PS2 controller.Smart move by them, imo.)

I think both controllers have their good and bad points. For me its the ps3 one but its not perfect. The 360 one is layed out nice but its heavy before you even put the battery in it,after you do its a boat. The ps3 one is a tad bit too small, for me anyways, but the button spacing and how the sticks roll free and natural is great. The xbox sticks seem too rigid and restricted with motion. Lighten up the xbox one, make it in between the size of that and the ps3,give it smooth rolling sticks and you have a great controller.

Maybe by fucking ps5 these companies can finally design a be all,end all controller that suits everyone???

I have a PS3 and love it, but it seems like everyone I know has the 360. bad u can't to a cross console online match!

If you live in a country where you have a difficult time sending your 360 for repairs free of charge , then you will not appreciate owning an xbox. You guys in America have an advantage of sending your consoles for repairs....tell that to the guy in Fiji or Africa. We don't have that luxury of sending our consoles out, hence Ps3 rules out here. We are aware of the failure rate of 360, so it is a big risk owning one. I advice all my friends to get a ps3 and save themselves the hassle.

When they first came out I'd have said Xbox 360 but now I'd say the PS3 has made up ground and is the system I'd choose and well I have as I own both and really am only keeping the 360 around for exclusive titles like Mass Effect.

Sony's console hardware is inching closer to the competition.

A spokesperson confirmed to IGN the company sold has sold 35.7 milllion PlayStation 3 units worldwide as of March 2010. During its annual 2009 fiscal results from early this morning, Sony revealed it sold 13 million PS3 consoles for the year. This is an improvement over 2008, which saw sales of 10 million units.

"Having just surpassed nine consecutive months of year over year growth for PS3 hardware and a revenue increase of 32 percent for PS3 software since last April, we look at today's earnings as a proof point to our business model, said SCEA president Jack Tretton.

For comparison, worldwide life-to-date Nintendo Wii hardware sales through March 2010 topped 70 million. Microsoft's Xbox 360 console sales have reached 40 million worldwide

i have both, each has its pro's and con's but i dont look at it that way.
i just want both systems cause im a fanatic gamer

I used to have a 360 but it broke after only a year, I have the ps3 and absolutely loving it.

I had a 360 on launch day all the way up to a year ago. Ps3 only now, cause I think the exclusives are better on ps3 these days and I only have $$$ to support one console. I wish I could get my hands on Mass effect 2 and probably Gears 3 in the end, but whatever, life goes on.....

Not dumb at all , this is a little part of the reason why I prefer the PS3 as well

Yup,I fucking hate the 360's controller. The only thing positive that I can say that I actually like about their controller is the concave analog sticks, other than that,I hate it.

The 360 controller is pretty good but the thing weighs a ton and you gotta remove the battery if you wanna "power outlet" charge the thing. For me its very close but I'd take the ps3 controller for those two reasons alone.

i may have posted my thoughts at some point in this thread already, but i can't remember and can't be bothered to check.

i own both a ps3 and xbox360 ...so with that said, i think sony has the best exclusives out of any platform ...but i trust the multiplatform titles more on the xbox360. as a ps3 owner since day 1 i've learnt that the multiplats aren't quite as polished on the ps3 as they are on the xbox360.

whether its buggier online play or slightly worse graphics/framerate, the ps3 games that can be found on both consoles tend to be slightly worse on the ps3.

i usually don't bother with the ps3 for anything other than exclusives now. the xbox almost always has a better experience with the multiplats.

I am considering getting an Xbox 360. Did they ever get the red ring of death sorted out or do they still have a high failure rate?
