Unlike you, I make as few unsupported declarations of fact as possible.
what are you talking about dude?
My point was I'm sick of people doing just that, citing the merits of a movie based on what seems to be simple popular consensus and not on anything that actually has to do with the movie - other than apparently the fact that the movie is going to be cool, by which they really mean it's cool to say that the movie is cool, when they don't know anything else other than that. I don't give a shit about whether or not it makes you cool to like movie, I care about whether the actual movie is good or not. If someone said, 'the trailer looks really good, so I think the movie will be good', then I would be fine with that. that makes sense. Hyping a movie simply based on the hype, well...you just end up with Snakes on a plane.
A freind of mine got tickets to see an advanced screening of this movie today, so I would have been able to let you know what i thought. But as usual, the place triple booked it so it was the battle of 300 nerds trying to fight to get the first place in line against 10,000 people that have real lives and didn't show up 4 hours before.
