Not to mention starting a dynasty of the Trumpista family. And of course, revenge on the rest of us.
We will get what we deserve.

George: "You are talking about this … culture of casual dishonesty at the White House, so you were, as press secretary, even if you weren't getting briefings, enabling that culture, weren't you?”

Stephanie: "Yes, I was.”

This is a question for my Democrat and more Liberal/Progressive friends...

Which of the potential Democrat candidates do you feel has the best chance to win the Nomination and General Election? Please focus on the positive traits of your candidate as opposed to the negative traits of his or her potential opponent. Thank you.

Still way too early. I got a blue book out and will get back to you.

No one yet.

I do not see any Colorado Democrats making a serious run in 2024.

It's tough to decide. You didn't mention any fondness or desire for Biden or Harris to run again or run at all. How about Pete Buttegieg? He's fairly moderate as far as Democrats and under 70 too. He doesn't seem to have the negatives that Biden or Harris have.

I assume the Democrats know better than to try to shove Kamala Harris down America's throats. I'd hire her as LA County's new DA based on Tulsi Gabbard's recommendation though.

There are some brilliant VP and cabinet picks in the public's view right now, but unless I'm mistaken, the US Democrats will wait to reveal their "front-runner" president candidate, having learned their Howard Dean lesson enough times. The mind says go with the one who brought you, but the heart says dance with the one the heart wants. It won't be Kamalamadingdong (she doesn't even like herself), but there's going to be a new top ticket for the Democrats, while the US Republicans will run DeSantis and ____ (it really doesn't matter) and will evacuate the elder Biden like a flush of a well-intentioned, stupid toilet.

Boom. In black. 😎

How about Joe Manchin? He seems to think he's the decider.

Who knows about Kamala. Maybe she'll be the incumbent by then.

Manchin impresses as direct and deliberate about how he votes. Maybe he's using the moment for his own aggrandizing, but if he is he isn't appearing to do so.
Kamala is just so weak. Californians, and even black Californians, don't like her. She's a prosecutor, the state's henchman, and she's one of the phoniest people in the current public eye. Unlikable is putting it kind. There are better options, if Democrats intend to hang on to the White House.

I'm not an expert on Joe Manchin but he is a moderate Democrat. I would see what he has to offer. I certainly would prefer him to the further left of the party.

Kamala The Chameleon has as much chance at getting elected President as Kamala The Ugandan Giant.

I didn't say she would be 'elected.'

She does not need to get elected to become POTUS. What a conundrum that would present to the Dems in 2024.

Now would be a great time to remind everyone what a piece of shit Mike Pence is, and that's pretty much universally agreed on by all sides at this point. Not that The Orange Pig would run with Pence again, I'm sure he wouldn't after Pence refused to participate in the Redneck Insurrection.
