i got something i want to say. if i am right i think it should make me the Icon on this thread. i have did a lot of head scratching and foot patting and this is my readout. IF is a small word with a stiff meaning....IF Florida comes out of death valley with a win....they will be National Champions this year. i know that is bold but that is my gut feeling at the moment............:suspicious:<<< dodging bricks.....

Yeah, it could happen as LSU is really the only good team left on the schedule, but I really doubt it.

Their first game was a blowout against a cupcake, but after that, they struggled against East Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee, all of which are in no way considered good teams. And now...

Florida plays a night game at LSU
Against the Beast of the Bayou, Leonard Fournette
And, Florida will be playing without their starting QB

If Les Miles has any sense, which is always suspect, he'll hype this matchup as a signature game and try to blast the Gators by 40 or more.

I would say a win against LSU would be a minor miracle. However, if the miracle happens, the only real threats Florida will face are Georgia and FSU.

Against Georgia, you never know what Bulldog team is gonna show up. Will it be the one that runs it down your throat and explodes out your ass, or the Bulldog team where Richt shows how bad he sucks as an on-the-field coach.

Against FSU, I think Florida has the edge this year, and I hope they destroy the Seminoles. I really have ZERO respect for Jimbo Fisher. He's developed a reputation for protecting his players at any cost, no matter what they do. Not even Nick Saban does shit like that. At least Saban has enough class to instill discipline.

i have watched florida in spots this year..they dont have many league leaders it seems yet they all seem to play as good as it takes. football has changed a lot over the years. was a time if a team lost their QB it was pretty much over. not anymore....today most teams have 3 at least in case one gets hurt and the other gets the measles. i may be wrong but i think this will be LSU toughest challenge to this point. to me this is a statement game. i will go way out there and say the winner of this game is going to get in the way in January. strange..yesterday where i play you could pick a NC with big odds i was ready to call that 360$ to 20$ that florida couldnt but this morning you dont have that option. hummm in other words if florida beats LSU forget them odds monday. that may not suck so bad at the moment..but if you are thinking like me that sucks terrible

i just took West Virginia and 20 points against a team that has been averaging 64 points a game only giving up 20. i can see me crawling under a rock if today dont go as planned but i feel the same about baylor as lsu....we will know tonight

Well, that didn't work out very well.

My beloved Iowa team won 40-10? I think they were channeling Hayden Fry or pretending like it was 1991, when Northwestern still sucked every year. I think the only hurdle left to the B1G title game is Nebraska.

Well.....lol.....so much for Harbaugh's sainthood. Why you'd even risk a muffed snap or blocked punt in that situation is beyond me. Just run the fucking ball and if you don't get the two yards MSU has one very rushed chance to throw one 50+ yard hail mary before the clock ticks off.

But maybe Michigan was fated to lose this game anyway. The after review upholding of that "targeting" call in the first half was definitely one of the 10 worst officiating blunders I can ever remember seeing.

Wow!!! What a game! Too bad it was marred by horrible officiating. There was bad calls both ways but Michigan was mugging Sparty receivers the entire game and that first TD was a gift. Who would have thought that special teams would win the game for Sparty?

My bad. It was the second TD that they came up short and got the call anyway.

Harbaugh wasn't the one who muffed, and that dumbass kicker should have just fell on the ball. Sometimes, shit happens.

What's really sad is this: If Michigan now wins out, that kicker will have to live the rest of his life knowing he kept them out of the playoffs because of that one play. And trust me, there will be some assholes that will remind him of that every year until the day he passes.

I don't think it was that bad of a call. True, a fifty yard hail mary doesn't have the greatest chance of success, but if a punt goes off well like it does almost every time teams punt the chance is about zero at that point. The probably of the outcomes most likely had about the same chance of success, and a fumble could always happen on a run.

On the other hand, if players can't execute the most simple of routine plays, or they panic and don't grasp situational football when a bad situation goes down a great part of that is on the coaching staff. Good coaches drill it into their players heads and practice what to do in those situations so they aren't paralyzed with indecision or make a bone-headed move to make a situation even worse because they are panicking.

OK U of M fans, the refs had nothing to do with the loss. Did Sparty get a few calls? Yes, but so did Michigan. There were at least three face guarding/pass interference calls that were missed in the second half. The targeting call you have a gripe as I don't believe that it was intentional. However, by the letter of the rulebook, he hit a sliding QB helmet to helmet after the whistle was blown. You got one free TD when his forward progress had clearly been stopped short of the goal line. Would they have went for it on fourth and punched it in? We will never know. Get over yourselves.

not so good...but bama -4 against texas a&m covered that...its kinda like standing in the mirror and slapping your own face...however..that little roody poo announcer for the baylor game that said baylor is the best team in the country. i wonder if he watched the game in the bayou last night? when the smoke clears in Atlanta i wonder if he actually thinks baylor can play on the same field? i broke even other than the fact i put 12 against 348 that florida would win it all. i bet i cant do that after last night. to be honest i feel better after last night even tho florida lost ...i seen what i thought i did a few weeks back. they only had a week to prepare the QB for last night....wait till Atlanta. lsu ,bama, or whoever it may be. better bring their A game.

I can't complain about the polls this week. I thought that maybe Baylor would move into the top spot but Ohio State did enough against Penn State to hold them off. LSU is a very good team but I'm still not ready to buy into them being a top level team. They held off a good team that is without their QB and dealing with distractions. I think that the playoff teams will come out of the top seven right now. At least two of them has to take a loss. Iowa should be a bit higher but you know that nobody is going to give a Big Ten team enough credit.

cant see your math man? giving up 31 points to lamar and 35 to texas tech.....i cant see them in the top 5? baylor is JV just like tcu....time will tell

I wouldn't go that far. Yes, their defense is absolute shit, but their offense is the best in the country.

Realistically, TCU is the only team on the schedule that has a chance of knocking them off, but I think Baylor is more focused this year than last, and TCU's defense is actually worse than Baylor's!

Neither one of these teams will make the playoff with a loss. They have to finish undefeated.

I think Baylor has a legit shot to make the playoff, but it's possible we could end up with 5 undefeated teams. If so, the fact that they don't play a conference championship could loom very large and cut them out.

i agree on a a loss would kill either but the reason their offense has racked up 60 points a game is because they have not faced a team with a in your face defense. IMO they both will eliminate themselves before the year is over. most teams that get a 30 point lead sit the starters down and start swapping numbers. they both just keep pouring it on. baylor has okie and okie st back to back. then tcu . noway they can live through that. tcu has to lick that same calf. same way with bama and lsu...maybe? bama hasn't beat Penelope yet (tenn) ?

Real proud of an LSU running back for throwing a punch somewhere other than a parking lot, though.

On the bright side? If you get choked by Memphis like that you get a free Blake Griffin jersey.

Utah's like herpes: undefeated, red, angry, and especially victorious over Arizona State.

Iowa's just like the phone book: black and yellow, got a bunch of W's, and ignored by anyone who has an Internet connection.
