Sure, it could happen, but I just think it will be next year when things really start heating up for them.

Sarkisian caused a bit of a stir the other day. Apparently he had a bit too much to drink at a pep rally and got pretty profane while at one point being recorded dropping an F bomb that's been playing all over local sports talk radio :1orglaugh
Pat Haden was sooo not pleased :D

For the first time in history, there is a unanimous #1 in the AP preseason poll.

http://www.cleveland.com/osu/index.ssf/2015/08/ohio_state_football_ranked_no_2.html

That's pretty cool. I've wondered if that would ever happen.
But man their strength of schedule won't help them much. Virginia Tech ain't all that much (yeah I know they beat OSU last year but regardless), then after that they should barely need to break a sweat until Nov 21st.

PAC 12 guesses...

North
1) Stanford
2) Oregon
3) California
4) Washington
5) Oregon State
6) Washington State

South
1) UCLA
2) USC
3) Arizona State
4) Utah
5) Arizona
6) Colorado

conference championship game: Stanford hands UCLA its ass as Mora remains winless against the Cardinal.

No pac 12 team makes the playoff

Some early preseason games could change the strength of schedule "weakness."

Wisconsin vs Alabama
Oregon at MSU
Minnesota vs TCU
Nebraska at Miami

Texas-Notre Dame to open the season should be awesome. We'll see how Charlie Strong has developed the Longhorns in this early test. On NBC on Saturday, September 5th at 7:30 EST.

I don't think anyone is beating Ohio State for a while.
Regular season, Michigan State is probably the only team with a shot.

A coach I don't like versus a team I hate. I'd like to see Notre Dame lose a low-scoring FUGLY game in 13 overtimes.

So I wonder who screwed over the Wolverines this time? We know that they couldn't just get beat by a better team. The entire town of AA is on suicide watch for the rest of the year.

Really?
Well, I'm just a west coaster, but to me Michigan played a pretty solid game against a very solid team at a tough venue.
I would think the town of AA would more likely see this as a morale booster...an indication that Harbaugh is likely to bring the Michigan program back to prominence.
If not for the three INTs by their Iowa (Ace!) transfer QB they very well might have won.
I'm guessing they'll go 8 and 5 this season.

Meanwhile Arizona looked like :baconsalt: and while TCU showed flashes of brilliance they didn't play up to their number 2 ranking.

There may be silent pockets of realistic U of M fans but the vocal majority around here have been talking about maybe ten wins this year. I think that they will be Bowl eligible but their fans are insane. Oh well, they always have women's softball.

Nikkala made me do it!
In Jim Harbaugh's first game at San Diego, they lost, and scored 17 points.

In his first game at Stanford, they lost, and scored 17 points.

In his first game at Michigan, they lost, and scored 17 points.

Not a Michigan fan, but just sayin. :dunno:

Yeah, 10 wins is delusional.
They just plain don't have the talent for that, enormous coaching upgrade notwithstanding.
QB Rudock's stats at Iowa were respectable. Only threw 5 picks last year after throwing 13 as a sophomore. Be interesting to see how long Harbaugh stays with him if he keeps chucking it to the wrong team.

That is pretty weird.

in 3 years ....hairball will be as loved there..as uncle Nick is here in Alabama. TCU and Baylor are overrated .....TCU and the gophers had a dog fight. SMU gave Baylor all they wanted the first half. Bama is starting a bunch of children today? and as far as Ohio st goes...dont count old frank out. he has been known to beat teams when it appears he dont have a chance in he11. the only thing i been impressed with so far.. is Georgia tech....they have been almost a long time there. i know that was just alka seltzer state they put 69 points up on but..they is more where that came from i got a feeling...we shall see ROLLLLL TIDEEE

I keep hearing how the winner of the TCU-Baylor game will be going to the playoff, but as I've said, that lack of a championship game hurts them too much. There's only way one of them goes, they'll have to go undefeated.

Auburn's defense played really well today, but as usual, the refs tried to ruin the game. That 3rd quarter touchdown called back on a holding call was pathetic. Really, how can you commit a hold on some guy when you get knocked off balance and you have your back to him? The only thing sadder was Verne "Dipshit" Lundquist agreeing with the call.

Yeah Conner that was a screwed up call.
Pretty solid win there, smoknn'.
UCLA's highly touted freshman QB looked outstanding.
Stanford :wtf:

I'm liking BYU at Nebraska in week 1
and Washington plus the points at Boise State.

Why can't every week be like this?
Probably because I'd be able to retire early, which God will never allow lol

Watching part of the Texas shellacking was the highlight of my football watching day. Watching Bama take it to Wiscy was the lowpoint. At least my Hawkeyes won. But they should've won by a lot more. If Ferentz' team doesn't win against Iowa State, Minnesota or Wisconsin and finish with less than eight wins I think he'll be out of a job. Contract be damned.

Goddamn, we need some way to display vines here because the Kansas State marching band depicted the KU mascot eating the starship enterprise...if the enterprise looked like a giant PENNIS. Hahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahaha.
