How would you like to have a six team parlay alive
The ONLY POSSIBLE way you can lose your bet is to have an interception run back for a touchdown....

I am the unluckiest motherfucker to ever walk the planet :1orglaugh

i was on the other end of that..i had maryland -4...i knew i lost in the 2nd qtr when maryland had the ball inside the 5 1st down...the one thing you dont do here is throw a int. ....usually when the team you bet on does hairbrain shit like that...you can hang it up..but this time...i won in the last second sorry bout your luck man

I think it's the "good teams" that get lucky and avoid Boise.

I went 29-1 this week. Anyone top that? :)

only problem i have with boise st is they play a week lineup...i think you should play at least 5 tough games..the rest they got left is a cake walk

It takes two to tango. They can't help it if they play in a weak conference. What are they supposed to do if ranked teams don't want to book them on their out-of-conference schedules? All I know is that it seems like every time they go up against a ranked team, they win. I'm not saying they are all that, but they do need to be given credit for what they have accomplished.

I'm really not sure that Texas even wants to join Pac12. I think the Okies and Texas Tech would LEAP at the Pac12.

UT would have to give up the Longhorn Network to join the PAC-12 so there's no way that is happening. If any two schools jump from the Big 12(9) to the PAC-12, it would have to be OU and OSU. No way will you split those two up IMO.

How would you like to have a six team parlay alive to Miami +3 1/2 ?

Less than a minute on the clock, the score is 26 to 24 Maryland, Miami's got the ball inside the Maryland 40 driving for a possible game winning field goal or TD.

Condolences on the Ducks...

UMD tried their level best to give that game to Miami...They left more points on the field than did ND.

LSU certainly earned it last weekend.

My favorite statement from that article: "The Tigers became just the second defending national champions since the preseason poll started in 1950 to fall out of the rankings after the first week of the season in the first regular-season poll -- though the circumstances were far different the first time it happened.

Alabama, the 1964 AP champion, started the '65 season ranked No. 5. The Crimson Tide lost 18-17 to Georgia to open the season and dropped out, but The Associated Press only ranked 10 teams that season. Alabama eventually returned to the Top 10 and won another national title."

Don't see Auburn repeating that feat... ;)

anybody sleeping on Miss St hasn't been paying attention....and just wait until Dak Prescott gets the start

I'm sorry but I'm sleeping on Miss State. Wake me up when they actually do something. Beating Memphis and giving smoknn a stiffy ain't worth much in my book. Just sayin'....

And sorry but any poll anywhere BEFORE the season started that stated which team is better Georgia or Miss State -- prob would've come out 98% in favor of Georgia. Just sayin' x2

I will concede that Dan Mullins might be auditioning for that GA job...:rofl2:

Winners in BOLD -- And let's see how many of you squids submit the exact same pix as Master TR... :thefinger (I know there's a certain Duck lover with a propensity for blowing parlay bets and truckers at the Iron Skillet who will be doing that very same thing :p)

not a surprise to me. the voters are unforgiving of poor performances by traditional powers against percieved weak sisters, teams have dropped in the standings even after winning, and it will happen again in the coming years. The rankings right now dont matter anyway, the ones that will matter are the rankings at the end of the season, til than no one should read too much into the numbers

If not Texas, do you think the Pac 12 would go after the Kansas teams? Kansas brings an elite basketball program. :dunno:

Word I hear is that the Big East is all over the Jayhawks if the Big 12(9) falls apart but that is being countered by rumors that both KU and Missouri are lobbying to bolt the conference and join the Big 10. At least that's the chatter on talk radio here in Texas today.

Surely the SEC will make a play for another school once A & M joins them next year, right? I have to figure Missouri is the logical choice but....who knows? :dunno:

The Big 10 seems like a perfect spot for Kansas/KState and Mizzou and Iowa St.

Notre Dame and Texas may go the Indie route for the next 5 years and then join when the SuperConference arrangement actually becomes reality...

It sort of seems like the ACC outta pick up the Big East Football programs and the Big East out to just become a giant Basketball conference.....

you really don't know anything about Dan Mullins, that much is apparent (or their recruiting classes of late)
Were you sleeping on them when Mullins hired Manny Diaz last year?

pre season polls is worth nothing.. going into last years NC and beating them would be a start...if miss st wins there they going to think they can win the sec...and it hasnt been proved they cant yet..been a long time since they went to auburn and had their way..some may think auburn looked terrible last week...but have we forgot?...they came from behind to win....to go with all the times they did that last year:wave:

A&M may think they're making the right move by going to the SEC, but in actuality, they're going to end being just an average team, and we'll soon forget about them. A&M had a tough time in the Big-12, so you think you'll think you'll fair better in the SEC? Do they really think they're going to compete with the Alabamas, Floridas, LSUs , etc...?

This may be the last year we hear much about A&M.
