OFFICIAL NOTICE: LurkingDirk is not an Irish fan. I can't handle it any more. I hate the team, the school, the administration, and the fans.

This is not a joke, this is not said lightly. I hope they never win again, and that farce of a football program falls in upon itself. I'll never sit through a Notre Dame game again in my life. The program is shit, has been shit for decades, and will continue to be shit for the entirety of the future.

So, I'm looking for a new team. It sure as hell isn't going to be Purdue, who is even more shit than Notre Dame. I welcome suggestions. Unless they include any team from Michigan, Ohio, or California.

You're just now no longer being a fan of the Irish. I have members of my family that quit being fans of them back in the 60s. :1orglaugh

holy beejesus I just saw this on the late recap

Oregon State 28
Sacramento State 29

:surprise: :surprise: :surprise:

I don't think there will be a bigger upset this year than that one.

funny thing is that i was at Qualcomm for the SDSU game at that time, and when i checked the tv moniter and saw that score, i was stunned, not that a 1-AA team beat a 1-A team, but it was 1 game winner of last season Sac. St. i expect a couple or a few of these upsets every year, but never from teams that won 1 or 2 games the season before.

Booo! I hate Football :)

Ga Dawgs was one of the worse team in the SEC last year

zacly...beating georgia dont put them in the championship race in my book..im sick of these rinky dink..cupcakes if they going to throw these little corksoakers in the top 5 every year..they should have At least 5 tough games..needless to say its on...horse face helen keller and Boysie st will be in the way alllllll year...the rest of their games is a breeze..then they will take up a major bowl and get hell beat out of them..i thought i already seen this episode....

LSU looked good but they need some work. Georgia continues to look disappointing.

Auburn looks like they'll struggle this year.

Bama's quarterbacks seem to have an interception competition seeing who could throw the most.

Congrats to Baylor and Griffin, who recovered from his own mistake to CATCH a big pass. Also kudos to Gary Andersen and the Utah State Aggies, who fought hard with an upstart QB who wasn't decided upon until damn near game time.

is anyone besides me taking miss st serious???miss st may be the team to watch this year...i know i know one game ...blah blah blah memphis blah blah...i get the feel this is a differnt miss st team then we all know..and not to sugar coat but i stopped watching the bama game in the 2nd qtr...clear to see it was no contest...after that it was just go out for a pass..stats is misleading sometimes..you dont show all your tricks when your going to happy valley next week...anytime you go see joe ..pack you a lunch..may be a long day:wave:

Like they got the hell beat out of them last year? Or the year before? :1orglaugh

before you guys bust a nut...just thought i would remind you...auburn only returned 5 starters from last years team...and georgia pulling up the rear is not news

yea it will end the same way...maybe this time by chanch they will end up playing a team who can reallY beat them down and put them where they belong..somehow..someway..they always dodge the good teams:wave:

I always find it amusing how people have to pretty much invent excuse after excuse to disparage Boise State, or find some fault with them above what nearly every other team has to face. I have a feeling even if they somehow crushed the best teams consecutively there would be people that would somehow find a way to marginalize it in their minds no matter what they did.

If also find it even more amusing that the powers that be and a lot of the fandom in college football seem to feel so threatened by them the last few years.

They could beat Bama, Stanford, Oklahoma, Ohio St, Michigan St and LSU, (all on the road because we all know everybody is too chicken shit to travel to Boise) and they'd still finish 3rd in the country and have to face Oregon St in the Fiesta Bowl lol.

I think it's the "good teams" that get lucky and avoid Boise.

they would be a cake walk for lsu or bama...if its at wal mart parking lot .or about 10 other teams i can think of..maybe they are all that...show me..by playing 5 teams that can beat your ass on any night...like (most teams has got to do)..such as the teams you mention ..that has tough test all during the year= its not Right..is what it amounts to not to mention the fact they have played pansies all year and are injury free..dont no about everyone else..but that is whats making my fAce maD

the thing with Boise is that, as a team, like most of their players..they thrive on everyone telling them they cant do (insert achievement here). When you tell them they cant do it, they will surprise you, and many of the players on the team are used to hearing they should be playing division 2 football, that chip on their shoulder drives them to be overachieve. Much different from players at USC or Ohio State or some big time school who are told everyday they will be great NFL players one day. Boise St. as well as TCU and a few others including Utah are good for college football

Did anybody see the SMU kicker botch the onside kick and then dance around like a jackass trying to...protect? recover? I don't even know what those guys were doing.
