2011-12 Football Season Thread.

This is practically the Arsenal thread. Surely there are fans of other clubs here.

Okay, let's change subject. When are Tottenham going to slide down the table? We all know it's all going to come crashing down eventually...my prediction? Tomorrow, when they lose to Liverpool.

ManU-Chelsea on Fox today. It's Super Sunday with this match in the morning and the Super Bowl later on the evening, this is going to be a good day.

Rangers are out of the Scottish cup just a few months after thay were put out of the league cup. I wonder where they will go from here as today they looked the same way Celtic did in October.
As if they couldn't be bothered and didn't care.

I still hope celtic win the treble but i don't want Rangers to disapear.

Celtic are the biggest team in both the cups and are still top of the league. I just hope they don't buckle under the pressure

Missed the match, but Chelsea vs Man U must have been quite an entertaining event. Both sides losing point is always a plus for me.

This weekend was ESPNs free weekend in the UK.I watched 3 games and thought surely theres
more to life than watching football all weekend.

So will I be suscribing??? Not a Chance in hell ;)

I don't think Tottenham is a real contender for the league, but I still like them more than Arsenal and Liverpool, and I feel they'll still finish no worse than 4th. Liverpool in particular just isn't as talented as Spurs in my opinion. I'm wondering when Newcastle is gonna collapse. I thought the game with Villa was a chance for it to start, but no dice.

So Fabio's out. How do you English members feel about this and who do you think will replace him?

How would you Tottenham fans feel if Redknapp becomes the next England manager?

"There'll be no huns in Scotland!"
"We can see you sneaking out"

"Are you Rangers in disguise?"(Towards the opposite team's players)

"Always look on the bright side of life"(Directed towards the opposition fans)

Celtic fans vs Hearts 8/2/12

I think that Capello was looking for a way out before we get soundly thrashed in the Euros. Just because his preferred captain was ejected is no reason to step down just before a major tournament.

Redknapp is favourite at the moment, and I would not be one to complain if he did take on the job. :D

Don't know, but I think Avram Grant should replace him...I heard he's good in cup tournaments :1orglaugh.

I don't know as I'm not a Tottenham supporter...but I'd tell them what you claimed the Celtics fans sung "Always look on the bright side of life" :1orglaugh.

A bit gutted as I guess you can credit our high position to him although we've always had the talent but not the confidence and motivation and now Spurs have a real fighting spirit which they didn't use to. That being said he seems to ignore some players (ie Pavlychenko and Dos Santos) if their skill exceeds their workrate and buys cheap/free which is ok for the smaller teams he managed but not a title chasing team, a few slip ups from City and we're right back in it. Replacing Pavlychenko with Saha just because we made some money out of it is stupid if we want to get into the Champions League which will bolster our funds anyway, we're strong everywhere except in attack and we should have brought in someone like Daimao or even Cisse (who went to Newcastle) in January as I don't see where our goals will come from. I wouldn't mind seeing Hiddink as England manager as he does well at club and national level and forged a strong Australia team at the 2006 World Cup and his English must be pretty good from working there and more recently at Chelsea.

So, Luis Suarez is an ass wipe. But we already knew that. And shame on Dalglish for continually defending him. He's just dragging himself in the mud along with him.

I don't think Dalgleish will be bothered either way,as Suarez scored for them yesterday. Some folks like
people who rub the oppostion up the wrong way in order to get an advantage which nearly worked.

But until Liverpool get better strikers, then I can't see Suarez leaving in a hurry just yet.

Bloody stupid of Suarez not to shake hands though.
He should have given the "limp hand" shake, that would be worse than not shaking at all, and only Evra would have known.

What would you have done if you were in his position???I think I would have done the same or
told him to fuck off.

But then again that's another stupid thing that somebody created, that shouldn't have been
done.I mean why can't they just shake hands after the game instead of inciting more aggro
before the match has kicked off :dunno:

Before there was the Terry/Bridge and Terry/Ferdinand issues as well, and they couldn't learn
from that.

Is it going to change when there will be a similar occaison and a riot does kick off and other
people suffer from it??

I think they should just leave the sportsmanship crap till the end of the game.

Anyone know if Rangers are definitely going into administration, meaning a 10 point loss?. I know they filed for it but the final hearing hasn't passed yet.

If Rangers lose 10 points, Celtic will need to win 7 games out of the reamining 14 to win the league outright. I'm not sure though if it is meant to happen or not

Is it too soon to buy some jelly, the ice cream is in the freezer.
