Here come the excuses. The fact is that the England football team is shit. Technically we are completely inferior to the vast majority of the best countries from Europe and South America, and possibly even some in Africa. We will never win a major tournament again until we learn how to pass and keep the ball probably. Schweinsteiger made Gerrard and Lampard look what they are - two guys who are great at scoring goals, long-range shooting and running around the pitch like headless chickens, but technically inferior and incapable of playing killer passes.

Defensively we were a complete and utter joke - what kind of a team, with a whole 25 minutes left in a match and just one goal down, leaves ONE DEFENDER BACK? I'll tell you what kind of team - England. I was actually hoping that Germany would keep banging in the goals just to make that utter cunt John Terry look worse and worse. It was completely embarrassing - and we will go through this all over again in 2012 until, as a country, we understand that keeping and passing the ball is they key to winning - not pace, strength and stamina.

And as for this business of the Germans 'not being from Germany', this just makes my blood boil to such an extent that I really should stop typing now for fear that I may say something I might regret. Apparently some people though don't understand the concept of, y'know, being allowed to move and work in other countries.

I'm not sure whos going to win it now, Spain are clearly the best side but they have a tough match against Portugal. Argentina look defensively as bad as England, Brazil are of the pace, Germany i think will bottle it, Holland look ok but not fantastic. I think a south american side will win it this year they've been the best so far, in fact i'm going to go for a Brazil vs Argentina final with Brazil winning on penalties, they maybe off the pace but i think they will raise there level when it matters.

I've seen some real shitty referring this World Cup. The US got butt rammed the whole time, but other teams have getten screwed as well. It has been pretty bad.

I know this is a bit late, but does anyone know why Ronaldinho isn't even on the bench for Brazil? I mean why would Dunga leave him off the team all together, he has enough talent to be a sub, although I think he should be starting. He played an excellent season with AC Milan, so it seems weird not to call him back when he is still young.

Ronaldinho is past his best, also he only cares about attacking. If you look at this Brazilian side it's a defensively strong side that also has attacking ability, but they've harden there defensive, and as i say Ronaldinho just doesn't defend at all.

A great example was the Man u vs AC Milan champions league match, everytime Ronaldinho lost the ball he just gave up and stood still untill Milan got the ball back.

Yeah Dunga, the head coach, has been getting alot of crap from the Brazilian media for not playing "the beautiful game". This Brazilian side is more defensive oriented and it shouldnt matter how they play as long as they win which is what they are doing.

Who said you are a racist?!? The problem with the pointless reference to Hitler is that it is indicative of the British press who constantly refer back to the war & use wartime terminology whenever England go up against Germany. It is an unwelcome element & has nothing to do with football & only serves to reinforce stupid outdated rivalries which some English people adhere to. You can't justify your comment by going "just as what would say Brian Clough make of that abject performance by England", that is at least relevant to football!
