Okie practically lost to Utah State and some other scrub team :dunno: How the hell are they #1? I think they are Top 3 worthy, but #1...c'mon.

Boise is getting fooked in this and it stinks.

I think the only fix that has to happen for CFB is the end of all Conferences. Make every team an independent. Let teams schedule who they want to. Let a panel of "experts" a la NCAA BBall committee decide and rank teams AFTER the season is done...

Okie probably will get hammered in the Big12 Champ game anyway...

There really hasn't been one game where you thought OU should have lost that game. They've had at least a 17 point lead in every single game, but they just can't seem to close the game. We're a Mariano Rivera away from being a dominate team.

No doubt Oregon and Boise State have been the more impressive teams this year. There's still a lot of football to play, so it's a little early to start panicking. I think towards the end of the season everything will work itself out.

I'm thinking OU is a year away from being a championship team. 27 freshman and sophomores on their 2 deep roster. This inexperience is probably the reason why they're so inconsistent. They will lose at some point this season.

you cant be serious.

Just relax and turn off the BooYah network once in a while.

Rankings and BCS is meaningless until the season is over. Teams just need to play out their schedules in their conferences. Rankings (and Boise comparisons) are meaningless because conferences aren't created equal, nor CAN they be. The athletic conferences exist for a reason. The "National Championship" isn't the be-all-end-all. Enjoy the games each week and enjoy college football for what it is (not some NFL competition). Enjoy each bowl game, and quit feeling like you're getting 'cheated' because you are given some gambler's paradise of a sweet sixteen/final four tourney.

As it is set up now, we already have a tournament set up now for the "NC"....1 loss and teams are typically out of contention. That's just how a playoff would work, anyway.

You think college football is something different than the vast majority of people in this country do, even the hardcore college football fans. In every serious sport in the world being the champion or the winner is always the end all and be all. That's why most people want to see a decent playoff because they realize the whole system as it exist now is a shameful mockery on so many levels and that would at least correct one of the systems flaws.

ok happy faces take..iowa -6 bama-16.5 georgia -3.5 mizz+3 and (sorry maildude) but the crystal ball said northwestern +5......shakes crystal ball...yup thats what it said

Northwestern practically lost to Minnesota. Minnefuckinsota. The lost at home to Purdue. I'm not seeing Northwestern beating the Spartans. Though with Michigan State's recent history I guess you never know.......

Prophetic words my Sooner friend! Hopefully, that loss will come Saturday night in Columbia!

OK....here's the "Pick 25" for this week. All games are on Saturday. Let's mix up the prize this time. I'm really pulling for Michigan State, but I having a hard time really believing they'll go 12-0. The only teams in the Big Ten with a chance of going to the title game with a loss are Wisconsin and Iowa (not that it's much of a chance anyway) cuz they have to play each other, Michigan State, and Ohio State, which helps their SOS. Iowa and Stanford is my predicition for the Rose Bowl. I think Oregon State will beat Oregon, and someone else will upset them along the way (USC?). That's assuming neither goes to the title game.

Btw TCU and Boise State are the best teams in the nation. Just looking at the teams, in terms of strengths, execution, coaching, and talent (and not records or who they've played anything like that) I would rank the top 10 teams in this regard as such:

1 TCU, 2 Boise State, 3 Alabama, 4 Ohio State, 5 Iowa, 6 Stanford, 7 Oregon, 8 Oklahoma, 9 Nebraska, 10 Utah

Hi guys..
Yes girls love football too..lol

We are big Buckeye fans here and we would like to say that we agree with your top ten ranking here.. There seems to be a lot of bitching about ranking systems and playoff's.
And SEC rules!! lol ( yet they never play any real teams out side their conference)..haha Sorry know im gonna get yelled at for that..hahaha

They should let the student bodies vote on a solution to this problem and take it out of the idiots in charges hands..haha

Would love to see a TCU, Boise State - bowl and a Bama, Ohio State Bowl.. Would be two amazing games..

Phone sex with the Centaur if I win? Well, the last time I had that he kept calling me "Dirky" and it made me  If he can't keep track of who he's talking to...:mad:

Notre Dame vs. Navy (Anchors Away! Well, I'll be rootin' for 'em anyway)

Michigan St. at Northwestern (Maildude St. in a blowout easy win)
Syracuse at West Virginia (Tempted to go with the 'Cuse here..but..no, WVU wins)

Iowa St. at Texas (Will the Longwhores be up for this one?)
Penn St. at Minnesota (This one should only be shown to our enemies)
Indiana at Illinois (Zookies win a close game)
Purdue at Ohio St. (Andro takes it Baills deep )
Ole Miss at Arkansas (Arkansauce wins w or w/o Mallett)
Rutgers at Pittsburgh (If Pitt loses Wannstadt walks the plank)
Duke at Virginia Tech :)thefinger haha VaTech rolls on, helping Boise!)
LSU at Auburn (Aubbie's D is awful. The Mad Hatters get the win here)
Wisconsin at Iowa (Badger Nation upset win!)
Georgia Tech at Clemson (Close game here. Tigers get the win)
Nebraska at Oklahoma St. (I think Pellini fooked himself last week with that stoopid yanking of his QB. This is a loss because of Karma coming back to bite him in the ass)

Arizona St. at California (I don't know why I'm picking cal to win this)
Washington St. at Stanford (zzzZZZZzzz )
Colorado St. at Utah (zzzzZZZZzzzzzzzz Part II )
Alabama at Tennessee (Will the Ghost of Lane help the Vols? I hope so!! :thefinger)

Texas A&M at Kansas (Even though A&M have probably ran up the white flag on their season, Kansas is too stinky to pick in any game)

South Carolina
at Vanderbilt (No mercy beatdown here)
North Carolina at Miami (FL) (I will fire Shannon personally if the U lose this one)

Georgia at Kentucky (The Dawgs have found their bite)
Oklahoma at Missouri (A Big12 blowout, Big Game Bobby style)
Air Force at TCU (Easy win here for the Horny Frogs)
Washington at Arizona (Zona is back under the radar...winning and not getting any attention from anybody)

Is there any chance that ucla ~RiSeS uP~ and beat the Quack Pack in tonight's BODIE NIGHTMARE BOWL ?

I suspect Bodie is wearing his neon yellow duck thong and his ~baby blue~ baby tee as he awaits the kickoff between his beloved schools.

Bodster, do you root for whichever team has the ball? Or have you made the calculation that it is in the best interests of Bodie for the Quacks to go all the way this year since maybe the Quacks are the only team that can defeat the BOISE MACHINE :thefinger in the title game ;)

Hey....welcome Missmarley. :glugglug: we certainly have plenty of room for football-lovin' babes here so feel free to chime and talk smack with the rest of us. Our good buddy Baill will be glad to have your Buckeye support.

As far as your comment about SEC teams not playing anything but marshmallows out of conference, I think most ranked teams in all of the BCS conferences are equally guilty of this. There are a few teams that are exceptions. UCLA scheduled Texas on the road this year out-of-conference and beat them. Bravo for them! Likewise, Miami played your beloved Buckeyes in the opener at the horseshoe and gave them a good run for their money. However, I would agree that this is the exception rather than the rule. There's a running joke here in Texas that if the University of Phoenix, DeVry University or ITT Tech ever decide to field football teams, Texas and Texas A & M will have them on the schedule. :1orglaugh

By the way....we already saw a Boise St./TCU bowl just last January. Why on earth would you want to see that again? If it happens again, it will just be more proof that these two teams are permanently uninvited and most unwelcome intruders to the BCS party.

No offense to your Bucks, but I think that Alabama and Oregon are the two best teams in the nation and would make a helluva championship game. 'Bama needs to make up for their loss to South Carolina but they've got the rest of the year to creep up on those teams ahead of them. In fact, at least 2 undefeated teams are guaranteed to lose this week (Oklahoma, Missouri, LSU or Auburn) so, if the Tide can win out and take the SEC championship as the rest of the season plays out, I think they have a real shot to make it to the NC. They'll also need Michigan State to lose somewhere along the line to make that happen. I see BSU and TCU slipping in the BCS as the year wears on and they both play out their cupcake schedules.

Just my opinion of course. Once again, welcome to the thread. :hatsoff:

The One and Only Big Daddy
Notre Dame vs. Navy (Navy in a close one)
Michigan St. at Northwestern (Michigan State)
Syracuse at West Virginia (Something is tellin'me to go with Syracuse)
Iowa St. at Texas (Texas)
Penn St. at Minnesota (Penn.St. gets it together)
Indiana At Illinois (Indiana trust me)
Purdue at Ohio St.(Bounce Back win for OSU)
Ole Miss at Arkansas (Always a great game but I can't go with the heart Arkansas)
Rutgers at Pittsburgh (I get this instead of FSU vs. NC State:dunno: Pitt)
Duke at Virginia Tech (VA Tech)
LSU at Auburn (Big Cam runs all over LSU)
Wisconsin at Iowa (Two of the biggest kids on the block sooner or later they will fight Wisconsin on a rolls it won't stop here)
Georgia Tech at Clemson (Clemson won't stop the Triple Option GT)
Nebraska at Oklahoma St. (OK.State was playing so well Nebraska)
Arizona St. at California :)dunno:) Golden Bears
Washington St. at Stanford (Stanford in a blowout)
Colorado St. at Utah (This one is like taking candy from a baby Utah)
Alabama at Tennessee (Alabama)

No conflict for me. The Ducks are and have always been my team, as painful as that has often been.

It's true I have a soft spot for the Bruins, but they're a very distant second (or third) on my favorite teams depth chart.

If by some chance they knock The Ducks out of the national championship race that soft spot will disappear in a hurry :ak47:

So I have to root for the westwood embarrassments in order for us to share hated of the westwood embarrassments...is that right?

I AGREE

There really hasn't been one game where you thought OU should have lost that game. They've had at least a 17 point lead in every single game, but they just can't seem to close the game.

The three games I've watched that's looked like a product of Stoops coaching not to lose rather than any inherent problem with the team/players.

There's a running joke here in Texas that if the University of Phoenix, DeVry University or ITT Tech ever decide to field football teams, Texas and Texas A & M will have them on the schedule. :1orglaugh

:1orglaugh

Too true.

Hey now, last I looked The Embarrassments aren't on NCAA probation  ....and they embarrassed Texas at Texas, the same Texas team that turned around and beat Nebraska at Nebraska.

It's really a shame The Gutties don't play all 12 of their games against Texas teams. If they did they'd be a dynasty ;)

Good start for the Embarrassments thus far  Finally the Gutties have Brehaut starting.

Maybe don't put away that :ak47: away just yet ;)

The rollout passes were what Chow had Carson Palmer do when we played the Quacks back then....it worked

 I literally hit the post button and he threw an INT

Good start for the Embarrassments thus far  Finally the Gutties have Brehaut starting.

And tonight you're going to get to see why he hasn't been starting.
He throws a much prettier ball than Prince, the problem is he throws it to the other team a lot.

TD Ducks! :nanner:

That no huddle spread has got to be exhausting to try to defend.
