How about a little love for my resurgent Hurricanes before we dive into the weekend, guys? I mean, 31-3??? We smoked the Panthers.....'Canes front 4 was in the Pitt backfield all night and Dion Lewis couldn't do shit. Even though the ACC is perhaps the weakest BCS conference (Big East maybe??), I see them as the best team this year. Jacory Harris needs to quit trying to force everything and quit throwing interceptions. Otherwise, they look really strong. Young and getting better. Go 'Canes!

Miami has enough to win the ACC although beating that pitiful Pitt crew last night wasn't as impressive as I thought it would be before I saw how terrible Pitt was.

Can we start the official Wannstedt countdown to termination yet?

Clemson next week should be the toughest test for the Miami all season. Harper and Ellington are (unbelievably) better than the tandem of Spiller and Davis was. They beat Miami at home last season (I believe) and I think they're better this season (Aub loss notwithstanding). Jacory meet Da'Quan Bowers...:crying:

(We need MORE smileys :cussing: I was thinking a grim reaper for this one)

They are a tad overated Jordan Jefferson is doing maybe just enough to get by the teams they are playing. For example in the North Carolina game he passed for 151 yards which is not bad but what the hell in Vandy game 96 yards and in the Mississippi State game 97.What age they going to do against a real team cause that won't cut it.By the way South Carolina beats Auburn 28-24 close but USC on the east coast wins.Cam Newton is a 250lbs QB that does not mind bringing the lumber

That was his freshmen year.Ouch

Too tough to call on the Aub/So. Car. game for me. Your eye is probably better than mine on this one. It should be hard hitting though.

LOL....why did I feel this post was coming. :dunno:

Pitt was good enough to take Utah to OT on the road earlier this year so how bad can they be? Dion Lewis is a game-breaker and he couldn't do anything last night. Just because Miami dominated the shit out of them doesn't mean they are "pitiful" as you say. Miami is LOADED on defense this year and can play with anybody. They proved it against OSU. Even though they lost, Harris' interceptions proved his undoing as the 'Canes pretty much outplayed the Bucks for most of the game. I think OSU is the second-best team in the nation and we gave 'em all they could handle at the horseshoe.

Clemson will indeed be a tough test but hopefully the 'Canes squad that is a year more experienced won't crater to the Tigers like they did last year. We'll see.

I'll take SC by a FG over Auburn but wouldn't be shocked to see it go the other way.

Arkansas puts a scare into the Tide but lose it at the end just like last year.

Well I wasn't bashing Miami...I said they had enough to win the ACC. I don't know how Pitt will ultimately work out but they were hapless last night. Miami had something to do with it of course but Pitt behind that QB is terrible.

That's because he spent most of the night running for his life. I do think that Bostick is a better passer than Sinseri but Pitt's offensive game plan in just about any game has got to be centered around Dion Lewis. That didn't work out last night, they fell way behind and the rout was on.

Welcome back. The Big10 is going to be the Big12, Boise State has an easy schedule, Michigan is back...except with the experts, Alabama has a helluva team, the Big East fell into the sea, and Lane Kiffin is the antichrist.

pitt didnt do nothing because miami was up that ass all night...and the ints harris got....damn did you see some of the catches pitts defence made...one looked like a jerry rice grab....what i seen last night..when the smoke cleared...was ohio st has a pretty damn good team..and deserves to be where they are at ok besides ark+7.5 and uk +14...i got one more for ya>>this one is locked arizona st +12 vs.oregon = locked.. take arizona st +12..to wear a happy face.......damn i went out on a limb this week..if i get all these im looking for some claps..ahh..props..points...you get the picture:1orglaugh

Brent Musbutthole claims Nevada is a potential threat for Boise State. So...does that make Arkansas a points favorite against 'Bama? How about Illinois topping OSU with a great special teams performance?

maildude i was just going to say..in your last post..you can add>>also les miles is still a idiot..at the very end..would have fit right in....:D

I know some games have started, but here are your lurking predictions:
UFC 33, Washington state 28.
Wake Forest 10, Florida State 42
Stanford 38, Notre Dame 21
Alabama 35, Arkansas 10

And Florida is just going to squeak by Kentucky.

And off we go!

Gameday trotted out the stat that this is the first time in the BCS era that all Top 8 teams might finish September undefeated :dunno:

Dirky goin' against his Irish  Dude...you can't run your mouth now if the irish pull an upset that even I (dome hater) think they can do! Remember this is stanfurf! The Irish can put the whammy on them

^^:1orglaugh Very nice.

I think they're capable of the upset too, actually. I just don't think everyone has their heads around Kelly's coaching style and communication technique yet, so I think they'll not have a terribly productive day. I'm hoping for 6 wins this year. But I am hoping for 10 the following year.

I'm not dissin the Irish. I'm giving them a year off from expectation.

There are some real cream-puff games today, Like Wisconsin vs. Austin Peay and Michigan vs. Bowling Green.

^^Sorry, I don't get on bandwagons. I think things through. :D

Also, mighty quiet from Mr Ry, today. Purdue is getting pretty soundly beaten by Toledo.

Edit: I just wanted to add that the Irish have lost six of the last seven games, and are 0 for 10 against ALL ranked opponents since 2006.

I'd love to be wrong, but I think this is going to be a rough day for touchdown Jesus.

Um, yes I know. I guess you didn't get it.

I'm thinking he got it ...but is just to embarrassed for you to let you know how unfunny it was.:thefinger

I did. Just too late.

Feel free to punch me in the face. It'll help.

Fear not L/D...Baill has been acting like a Mini Pin nipping at Wolverine ankles since the season started.

He will be shut up soon....

Speaking of which...where's smoknn??:o
